Every time I take a random look at other other companies on The Layoff, I realize the same thing. Wells Fargo has one of the more active layoff boards. So, are we keyboard happy or are we in really in some deep sh^t.

Not sure what you're talking about here. Read the annual reports. They stated publicly that there would be layoffs and set aside, if I recall correctly, ~$715MM to pay the severances out.
The fact that you don't pay attention is not really a WF issue other than the fact that you presumably work for them.
One reason is wf pointed the g-n to our heads and said they would have mass layoffs like 40k by the end of last year. They went to the press with that. Not that they would have the stones to tell us themselves. Then they realized that they would have to pay severance if they did that. So the cheap cowards decided to try making everyone so miserable, they would quit, and save them money. That appears to be their current SOP. So many are still wondering if there might actually be a mass layoff, as they said. Beyond that many are here telling the truth about wf unethical behaviors and practices.
The hiring of all these execs may paint a pretty picture for Wall Street, but I guarantee this will result in more compliance issues The new execs are being ordered to go on offense, so they will disregard the people who know the problem areas -- and anyone who speaks up about those issues will probably be given notice. The Feds aren't going to fall for Charlie's vision of the future -- and he is so arrogant in the way he communicates, it's just gonna make them enjoy auditing the bank even harder. It's like he's taunting them with a stick -- enjoy getting bit Charlie.
Probably ten or fewer people make 90% of the comments.
Wells has an active layoff board because people sought out information about their jobs.
That it's gotten so off topic and out of hand is a symptom of the disfunction at Wells for the last 5-6 years.
WF is being prepped for final sale.
Those who've been there before see all the hallmarks.
Scharf is just the undertaker hired by the BOD.

That's my take as well. A few malcontents does not a majority make.
How can you know this? What if a small company has 80% of its employees trashing it, vs the few here out of 250,000?

"This board is active for WF because we hired so many immature and intellectually challenged people."
This board is active for WF because we hired so many immature, intellectually challenged and arrogant people like me. There ... fixed that for you.
Wells Fargo has done a terrible job over the last 5-7 years related to hiring at the front line and middle levels. This board is active for WF because we hired so many immature and intellectually challenged people. This board is filled with comments from probably 4 or 5 people who are the lowest of the lows on those two character traits.

You’re a one note and a lousy time. You must be making money off all this misery Charlie is creating. You must be one of his JPMC failed management colleagues.
@lxr+1cxrByhY Bring back Stumpf
I just come here to laugh at the posts. Pretty sure I'm not the only one.
You were making good points until you were complaining about 100+k paying more. Try paying insurance making much less.
The Wells Fargo culture has been trashed by CS and his new team so yeah the layoff board is active for both current and former team members - oh excuse me/ employees- to vent and share what they are hearing. 90% is not layoff related and I’m not even sure the percent of active wf employees complaining, quite a bit sounds like formers.. I for one really wanted to see the bank build back it’s reputation but every move the leadership team makes seems to take us further and further from that and just alienates employees, especially the good ones, even more. I can’t want to see what bs they pull with benefits this year. Anyone have an over/under on how much more 100k+ will be paying? I’m guessing they’ll have us “adopt” a lower paid ee and give us the privilege to pay their premiums as well.
We are all looking for a way out OR for this horrible misery to end.
We are in serious troible.
No hyperbole
It is both, per below.
Busy bitterness mixed with bad business.
And the reputation hangs out there, too.
By comparison, my spouse works for a different large global financial services firm. Checked their board and they have 2 topics posted for all of 2021 year to date. Only 2 topics posted on the Wells Fargo board may happen on the weekend occasionally, but most days it’s a half dozen or more.
Probably a little bit of both.
