I am looking and looking and it doesn't look very promising out there.

@2yto+1cuFTZF1, but we all have so much experience now working with consent orders... :-P
Lol Citi is going to be a big sh-t show than here; they have large scale consent orders and are just starting to figure out remediation while we’re almost done.. I wouldn’t go there if I could help it.
I heard through the grapevine that Citi, which has embraced remote work, is welcoming WF employees with open arms.
@1mzb+1cuFTZF1, I believe your post is well intentioned but simplistic. Sometimes, even with a good skill set (and particularly if you've been at Wells for a very long time), you can't easily match Wells' overall compensation + benefits.
WFC prepares its employees to find other jobs within WFC, not outside the company. I'm a top performer in my area across multiple teams. Yet when I began job searching externally I realized there are several industry standard skills for my position I didn't have or need while working here. Now I'm working twice as hard on my own time to close that gap so I can leave. Use whatever experience you do have as leverage to get started elsewhere and build from it.
Hmm, we’ll I make over 200k base plus bonus so the issue I’ve found is that pay is quite higher than most other companies will pay. Most are closer to 180k and a smaller bonus. So I’m not willing to take a pay cut, I’m an excellent employee but at my level there’s a lot less options the higher up you need to go in the pay scale.
At some point you have to accept you may be the issue and you may be the employee people don't want. There is no excuse for not being able to change jobs if you desire to do so and are willing to work. All major lenders are revolving doors and quality people NEVER have a challenge moving from one company to another and in most cases for higher pay.
If you are looking and looking and looking and interviewing and interviewing and interviewing and no one is hiring you. Guess what the issue is.
It's not a free ride. You have to be a good employee to have options.
not sure about all this; i have non-stop interviews, and doing nothing less then 45% higher
are you sure you guys are trying? you need to be a go getter, and not be passive like the workforce here. If you want a better job, go out and get one, but you have to work for it, wont be handed to you
They are younger folks who have no problem because they are still cheap. Anyone with any experience may not find it so easy.
Agree, I think the majority that are posting it’s so easy to find new jobs with better pay and remote work must be in technology. Otherwise for the rest of us, it’s pretty competitive for the good paying roles. Majority of the other big banks also have in office requirements and aren’t doing remote fill time and don’t pay as well that I’ve seen.
Is this WF PR trying to discourage people from leaving now that real brain-drain has started? Everyone I know that decided to leave had several offers, with better salary and benefits.
Credit unions.
