I know a lot of people in the workforce have still been having to go to work. If you are a grocery store worker you can't very well work at home. If you are a dentist or a doctor you can't very well work at home. Is. However we have spent the last year and a 1/2 working from home and our revenue numbers are reflecting that it has been successful. Now that we realize it can be done and that most people are actually more productive at home, Why are we being forced to go back to the office when the Cases are looking worse than ever. There was an article out just yesterday thayesterday that States that the 99% effectiveness that they are touting about the vaccine was actually based upon data from January through May so basically there is no current data to let us know how safe we will or will not be. I applaud those who have been going out during this whole pandemic but if we have not learned anything as a society it's the society it's the less people we can have congregated together the less the spread of the disease. That's why masking and social distancing worked to get us to the numbers in July. Only once we lifted all those restrictions did we see all of the chaos come back tenfold.

@1wbj+1cp6RPIl posts a link to a talk by a wart doctor from Idaho.
I have family in Idaho. Trust me, you want them in Idaho.
They're not all nuts up there, there are some good people, but wow, the ones that are nuts are way, way nuts, and they're all living out in the most fringe-y part of the GQP.
Try not to get too worked up over a possibly nuts wart doctor from Idaho.

You know, it's not a big deal to copy paste the name of one of these kooks into a search engine and find out if they're a quack or not.
In the last week Delta cases tripled in my city. They had been going up 50% week over week prior to that.
Fighting a wrongful death lawsuit must be cheaper than severance.
If/when we start getting a large number of people getting infected, they'll tell people to work from home again. I'm getting notifications at least once a week or more about how somebody tested positive in my office. That's with pretty much limited staff actually going in (call center types) the last I saw. Imagine how many people will get infected when we're back to everybody in large centers showing up in the office in tiny a-s cubes that aren't even assigned. And large centers might also have cafeterias where there's even less distancing.
OP is right, but not in the way they think.
For all those 'but, muh science" types, want some science? From actual scientists and not CNN or big pharma sales people? Ok.

I'm guessing that the data says otherwise. Yeah yeah "I read a study!", well the company has the real data from our employees and there's a whole lot of not working going on. A lot. Like days off at a time that aren't PTO. If you are Dwight Schruting it over there and sneezing with your eyes open to keep working 10 hours a day, good for you, the problem is zillions of your peers aren't.
Because its a $hit ho-e. Has been since 2008 when we adopted the cancerous monkey Wachovia.
Chainsaw Charlie. He did the exact same thing at Visa and a lot of people quit. He's banking on a bunch of people quitting so the bank don't have to pay out severance
because they are cowards or like not paying for daycare. it's the flu now
I'm not getting the people who come on here simply to talk down and insulting to people who are afraid and/or concerned about their jobs. Complete lack of empathy.
Yeah. Keep advise people to do that to get the package. Delusional R Us.
hate to tell you but of you are told to go in to the office and refuse, you won't get a package, you will get fired for cause and they may even fight your unemployment
Simply don't go into the office and continue doing your job from home. Your manager will counsel you that you "need" to go into the office. You don't have to. Maybe you'll get displaced and receive a package. Maybe you will receive less bonus or less of an increase. Regardless, you'll not have to waste your time or money, or risk your health by going in. If enough employees either refuse to go in or quit, the message will be quite clear.
You're not a slave. someone with your qualifications would have no trouble finding a top-flight job in either the food service or housekeeping industries.
You don’t have to go back. Just quit
