And another man, italian name I think, doctor guy, kept correcting him, and said no, things are going to get pretty bad.

That made the Florida man's fans angry, because they think Florida man is He Who Will Save Them.

So certain media started calling the Italian doctor guy names, and cherry picking the data that they didn't just plain make up, to keep Florida man's fans watching.

Because ad money is good.

And now here we are, people on the right and left fighting over a pandemic of all things, as if viruses have political agendas.

Fox News spent the last year and a half requiring masks, social distancing, and most of them worked from home.

They currently have a vaccine passport policiy. It's posted on the entrances to their studios.

Texas Governor Abbot has had both jabs AND a booster shot, and even though he's asymptomic he's getting an treatment, remdesivir, that is only approved for emergency use.

The booster shot is only needed after about 8 months and your first two shots diminish in effectiveness.

Just conveying the figures -- whether those numbers are concerning or not is subjective.

Surgeons wear these same masks for hours and hours in surgery.

Soldiers wear much more uncomfortable masks in battle and the desert for whole days.

Hauling people off to the morgue will solve the overcrowding problem no doubt but because the most at-risk folks are vaccinated, they're not dying at the same rate. However people are still contracting covid and still being admitted to hospital and somewhere around 95% of those people are unvaccinated. What's to reconcile?

So when 20k died in a week in January...hospitals were not "overwhelmed", but when 1k die in a week in August they are? Were people just not going to the doctor when they were dying 8 months ago? How do you reconcile that?

Wow these state trends (midway down the page) are both alarming and unsurprising. I can't wait until cool weather sets in, schools/colleges are back in session, and workers start returning to the office. Last winter will look like a cake walk.

Unfortunately, it's the nature of many to not give a sh-t until it affects them. Believe me, this winter we'll ALL be affected in one way another.

A lot of people seem to be ignoring the science all the sudden. It's been shown in multiple studies at this point that 'vaccinated' people both get and spread COVID-19. We've seen multiple instances of 100% fully vaccinated populations having an outbreak, even UK navy ships at sea with no contact with anyone that hasn't been vaccinated..The only thing the 'vaccine' does is reduce your symptoms. As such, 'vaccinated' people should absolutely wear masks in the office. Because they've been jabbed they will likely have no symptoms, or minimal symptoms, as they wander the office spreading cooties. That's why CDC reversed course and is calling for vaccinated people to wear masks, because the science says they are spreading it, and they believe masks are helpful for reducing that outcome.

Unfortunately that death rate will increase as equipment becomes over allocated. And not just deaths from COVID.

I live in one of the stupid states and they have beds lined up in the corridors of the hospitals full of covid patients. Seems that around 95% of admissions are the unvaccinated but the death toll seems to be holding at a reasonable level. That having been said, id-iots still wander around with total disregard for everyone else so it's going to continue for a while. Can't even be bothered thinking about it anymore - just stopped going out unless necessary. Sorry about the economy and the small businesses getting ki---d by this but hey, people have a right to do what they want apparently.

You can’t look at the overall COVID case rate. That’s like counting how many people get a cold. The death rate is way down.

Look up the COVID rates by state per capita. It's clear that the anti mask/vax states have the highest rates of COVID.

omg people, wearing masks in the office is nothing new. It's not like they came out a month ago and said, hey you all can work without a mask on now and now they reversed it. Should anyone be surprised by this or the fact they'll dictate which 3 days in and 2 days are telecommute if even that lucky?
