Worst function in the bank.

They let the testers go. Developers don’t test and when their automation breaks down with the environment failing every five minutes, they have no idea how to do anything manually.
What a sh!tshow…and they deserve it with the stupid layoff decisions they made.
Hey OP you must be from the LOB where are the people who have no clue what a control or a SAA etc really is. They own the risk but they sure can’t manage it.
So you expect the 1,200 clowns in audit to identify all the issues? That’s a small fraction of resources necessary and their scope is extremely broad.
And it sounds like you expect the front line (which is currently in complete disarray) to identify all the issues? Hmm.
Ok. I’ll let WF management run it. You sound clueless
Sounds you like need to brush up on your understanding of the three lines of defense.
Testers testing the testers. Checkers checking the checkers.
Clowns chasing other clowns.
And we wonder why expenses are so high?!
Lol!
You guys posting sounds so informed. Please continue to spread your amazing insights.
You seem to know so much about why IT&V was formed. You seem to know so much about the commitments that WF and it’s peers banks have made.
IT&V is by far the safest place to be at the moment.
Op- What does when, when, when mean? Anyways, try working in this dysfunctional and disorganized group. The procedures are pages of incoherent drivel. The internal QC team is a disgrace. The CTSDI department within ETV is the biggest joke. The leader CF and his direct reports have no clue. He's done nothing but hire people he worked with previously and then puts processes into place blindly without thinking them through.
No one can explain why we have IT and V testing, Enterprise Testing and also the so called IRM testing when the policy says clearly that the front line should do its own testing as they are the process owners. Many if these non-first line groups can go home and we cannot tell the difference. And then we have audit !
Well when EBCE testing comes they estimate it will take 50% of the time it takes for full control testing. Hopefully that’s been built into the staffing model.
testing is a waste of time according to Saul, so many good Test Leads and Coordinators let go
Ironic I got a call from insight global looking for ITV managers and Analyst for FTE roles for major project coming on… yet they are talking layoffs throughout… not sure what going on.. seems they do not either
Audit has that award I am afraid.
Maybe next layoff you guys can be worst. Hang in there
