How many people who visit this forum are current Wells Fargo employees and how many are former employees who like to come here with popcorn to watch how this clusterfuck is developing while they pat themselves on the back for getting out in time (not that I can blame them, I think I'll be doing the same thing once I find a way to leave?)

Current employee getting ammunition from this site for use in strategization and plan to hang around until I'm old enough to retire peacefully.
Truth be told the company has been good to most people until some thieving leaders scr'wed up the company.
Former employee here. Visit to see how things are progressing. Still have friends at WF that I'm concerned about as CS offloads work to India.

Current employee. 14 months. Intrigued that I was hired as an FTE while cutbacks and layoffs are happening across the org. Granted, none of this was shared with me during the interviewing or onboarding process.
Looking outside as well due to the simultaneous RTO / Vax Jab push. Also a bit too much virtue signaling for me.

It is so ironic to me that the only thing that seems to bind us together as a workforce is a desire to not be part of it.
That kind of an internal dialogue persists long after the immediate crisis is over and they reverse course.
I once joined a company in the post-purge era about ten years ago and it was a cukture of defeat and exhaustion. Every new on fire exec was met with slow rolling resistance to well meaning directives until it too was mired in failure. I dont know that they ever truly came out if it to be honest.
I wish you the best as you wait on what is coming. There are thousands of companies right now desperate for new hires. It isnt an exaggeration. Give it a try and do not be afraid to negotiate sign ons and fto.
Anyone heard how many weeks severance they are giving per year?
Former employee who stops by now and then because there are people I worked with for years still at Wells and I care about what happens to them.
And there's a little bit of wanting to make sure I made the right decision to leave.

Current employee of 17 years. Much of the change we have needed but I've never seen morale this low. I've worked places with massive shift in management/layoffs and near bankruptcy which is the only comparison I can make to how malignant our culture is now. It may sound corny but the way I cope with it is to work to make things better in my space and for my customers. I try to remain positive but am not naive to the BoDs goals and when that comes home to roost I'll have to make some hard decisions. In the meantime I try to find the good and salvage some satisfaction from that. We've still got a lot of great people working hard every day. :-)

You have to be really fragile to come on here when you are not an employee.
Life goes on. Why be stuck in the past
Current employee. Hoping to be laid off. Used to me more layoff related content here but it's gone way downhill lately. I'd not be inclined to come back here when I'm gone and I'm not sure why an ex-employee would be interested but I guess people can't help themselves.
Former employee here 🍿. One of my best friends still works there so I use the more hilarious news reported here to poke at him. Like the vaccine survey popups.
Current employee here. I imagine for former employees it's like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
