San Francisco Employee - Just Landed New Job:)

This place has been treating San Francisco employees like total trash since Charlie came in. At least in my area I noticed if you were from Charlotte you would be given a job title about 3 levels higher than what someone in SF would be given with the same background, it's border line absurd ridiculous. That doesn't even factor in India, my god you could hire 500 of them to sc--w in a lightbulb and it would be a circus. Anyway I got burned out of my situation working with 3 year old's. I applied Internal for about a year or a little over a year, with no success, by the way WF's job board is like a fake posting site. Three months ago I said enough, updated my resume and started applying solely external. I didn't hear much for about a month and then got one, then two, then three and four interviews. I was made a fantastic offer this last week, entering it all into excel if I get the full bonus its a 38% raise, if I include stock options its crazy, and the work is exciting, interesting and the team is qualified. I'm giving a week notice tomorrow. I think I'm going to Hawaii for a week between to try out my new full frame DSLR. Anyway hope that inspires some of you, there's light at the end of the tunnel, update your resume, be disciplined in applying and it will happen.

Congratulations! Take that well deserved break.

I'm glad to hear there's hope. SF employees definitely treated worse than others.

What once CS loved (including his Bay Area mistr*ss during "Vida" days), he now disdains.

Loads of talent in SF Bay Area.
WF's loss.

Thank you for the motivation. I have started to apply last week and already got 2 recruiter interviews and more are upcoming. I am so excited and it's true, it needs preparation and dedication, which I am lacking of. I'd rather watch the Olympics saga every night, thank goodness it has ended. Back to job hunting.

Good for you. Congrats and good luck. Be sure to take that trip. Decompress, put WF behind you and start your new gig relaxed and energized. You owe it to yourself.

Happy for you!

I hope that, somehow, Charlie and the BOD get what’s coming to them. Shame on them for treating people the way they have been.

All employees are being treated like pawns in a sick game. Congrats on your new job.

Congrats! That’s amazing. What area were you in before? Is your new job similar? I’m also thinking about taking the proverbial leap.

Good for you! Go to Maui! 🏖 Getting out of this suffocating place merits a celebration, a Hawaiian Luau, and some Pina Coladas on the beach. YOLO!
