Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

For those who are having to RTO, from branch employees

Just wanted to say thank you for all you do. We couldn’t function without your wonderful support from the back office, making are jobs so much easier as we never have to deal with system issues or policies that attempt to mitigate risk but in reality just make serving clients difficult. And we feel so bad that you are having to RTO... we talk about it often. You should continue to be to stay safe. We’re very worried about you.

Yes, we may have worked in the office every day since the plandemic started, and very few of us have any concerns at all about the dangers of the virus, but we know how important you all are and are emotionally devastated that you are having to go back in.

Be safe. Take care of yourself through this time. Social distance by at least 12 feet. Where masks and preferably body suits. Good luck.

Well I’m glad someone enjoyed it! Haha I think this is the most unpopular post I’ve ever seen on here. Not sure if there’s any award for that but I would be in contention.

Thank you I appreciate it! It actually hasn’t been that bad. I think going to the office every day and keeping up the routine throughout all of this has been really good for sanity/mental health purposes throughout the difficult last 1.5 years on the planet. It undoubtedly desensitizes you to any potential dangers that are out there that the virus presents as well. I’ve rarely felt unsafe at any point other than maybe the first week or two in March 2020.

OP is one of the biggest troll posts I've seen in a while. I actually laughed it up.

OP, I know you're being sarcastic, but I'm not when I sincerely tell you that I feel awful that you've had to be in the branch during all of this pandemic. I wish our front end employees the best and I very much hope karma comes back to you in the best way for having had to worry about all of the things the rest of us have been taking for granted this whole time.

OP here - super good point! Just was annoyed this morning reading through a barrage more RTO posts and said what was on my mind. Good call out on the honey rather than vinegar though.

@fef/OP, You ever hear the saying “you catch more flies with honey than vinegar”? What were you trying to accomplish here other than to p!ss coworkers off? Did you think you were going to change anyone’s mind here or get them to think any differently? You may have been able to do that if you presented yourself better than some kind of resentful a$$h0le. Kind of ironic that you talk about looking for a more positive forum when YOU posted such a negative topic here.

Sorry for the typo, I typed it out pretty quickly on my phone and didn’t read it over.

No sour grapes here. I love my job and have had my best year ever in the last 12 months, making a lot more now than pre-pandemic. Just sick of every single post on this website complaining about something I find so silly. Let’s all focus on being more productive and more successful and winning, not wasting mental energy on negativity.

I know this is a layoff website, so the negativity is naturally going to be there, but do you guys know of any other WF focused message boards? Would love something with more positive, like-minded individuals.

Aw, sorry rolling pennies was deemed essential, but the good news is Covid will take away your ability to taste those sour grapes.

Is that why our branches are offering 3x the referral bonus for branch only hires? How’s that working out for you?
