Serious question - is this true? What is the source?

What's going to be 'funny' is when even 100% WFH employees will be mandated to get vaccinated. You know, because reasons (like big pharma profits).

I agree with @1mrv. It’s due to competition. Once things die down, they will pull you in the office even if it’s just partially. They have admitted several times we are not competitive enough with other HL companies that are practically 100% in apps rather than fax, email, website, we take too long. 60 days is “good” for a closing timeline. We also fail to offer anything decent/worthwhile to the 250k employees they are trying to get rid of. That’s some untapped potential, if they were only smart enough.

Cool, I hope they offer this in my area.

Yes absolutely because of competition. I would also assume if you are 100% WFH there would be no Vax mandated? What do you all think?

No surprise here. The industry standard for underwriters is its a remote role. Not to mention how much demand there is in the Mortgage Lending world right now. If WF tried to pull them into an office there would be no one left to underwrite the loans.

It’s almost like…. Life isn’t fair. Sorry you had to learn it this late in life.

Oh, so some people have to relocate across the country at their expense even though they worked remote in prior roles but some are allowed to work remote despite return to office?! This is insanity and is exactly why I LEFT this SCHITT-HO-E awhile back! F THIS PLACE!

This was brought up in our town hall. The senior leader stated "due to market competition several underwriting teams have been advised they can work from home permanently for now."

The "for now" is the key phrase. Knowing wells fargo I'm sure the plan is to wait for the labor market to cool down and then reverse course and pull everyone back to the office.
