Revenge...

Any ideas on how to exact revenge after being laid off from ORCL? (only peaceful methods, of course)

Every time you see an Oracle ad, online, like on LinkedIn, report it as an annoying ad you never want to see again.

I think SMK had it wrong. There is no real reason to deal with a lawsuit, that just puts it into Oracle legal's hands and they know what they are doing.

Instead, he should have just put it all out on a website somewhere, all the recordings, everything. Then, it's up to Orahole to do something. They would pay instantly, I think.

Use your local Oracle office parking lot as a dumping site.

Here are some revenge ideas: go to the internal store and order stuff to sell on ebay:
Apple earpods pro
Apple keyboard
Apple mouse
2 flats screen monitors
Jabra headsets with noise canceling
Jabra speaker (easy to get rid off)
Check also other things
Before corona when i was going to a customer visit with a sales rep i found receipts at a gas station for like 80 buks and expensed it while i was riding with my colleague

Go to an IT shop where they use Oracle cr-p, then make sure they understand what is going on in Oracle dev. Make sure they understand that developers will sabotage their own code just to "get" someone internally. No one is ever held accountable for what the customer gets.

No IT shop should be using Oracle products.

Grab some Oracle swag and then go to a fire pit and light it on fire like they do to pro athletes. I think we can all agree we wish we picked the door to the right of Oracle; even if it was the gateway to He-l. I laugh cause people have been running side businesses, they handle their personal biz and you get to the point like me you are silent and do so little these days, just sitting waiting for that pink slip.

Revenge? Throw a party, dude! You're FREE!

There are scores of people who are dying to be laid off from Oracle; to get out of there, and for the severance.

Live well and put it behind you. If you have a chance to eval and purchase Oracle products, make them defend against every competitor. That is revenge.

best revenge is to start a company that is competitive to product you worked.

you can even copy the source code. who cares in Oracle ? They themself copy from other opensource.

While I agree in principle to this, you should never copy oracle source code. Don't give the rats anything they can actually use against you. You are the competent one, write your own code.

Whoever posted the rats devouring themselves. Man, that is so on point. That really spoke to me. Don’t even bother with oracle. I used to get mad and want same revenge. Many of us have, but it’s not even worth your personal happiness. Like many on here, I laugh more knowing I won’t do one more thing to sell this company to customers or people looking for a job. The rats know who they are. The people that adore them are no better. I was appalled recently when some person spoke of a big rat and said oh I just love her. She’s so great. I’m like in my head, she’s useless. And that comment about mmgmt is so spot on. They won’t leave cause real companies won’t pay them what they make here to stamp “approved” on timesheets.

While I do regret staying this long, one goal I always had was achieved and it was on oracles dime.

Leave them in the dust.

Best revenge is to succeed at another company. The rats you leave behind know they never can leave Orahole. They could not get another job if their lives depended on it.

Leave and enjoy your freedom from the dumpster fires you left behind. Let the rats handle it. They will all devour each other before the ship finally sinks below the waves.

The less you do to help them, the sooner they will all drown.

I guess other than better job for yourself, you might have some thoughts about what Oracle should be. Do not bother that, the revenge of Oracle will be those people you don' t like, they will drag the company down.

I hope Oracle can be better. It is just a company in your life for a certain of period of time. If you still have some friends, that's great. Nothing more or less.

The best revenge is making Oracle a part of your past and not of your future. I have no work tomorrow. By that, nothing to do. I do not care. I do not feel bad. I will not live with regret of a trillion dollar company that can’t manage to put one foot in front of the other…and guess what? The world doesn’t care about Oracle. And I’m fine with that.

Ha… revenge. Revenge is never healthy and I wouldn’t take it personal. You should send them a letter to thank them for the departing gift. I wish I was given the boot, apart from getting over the initial rejection (maybe would have lasted a few seconds ), I would have been celebrating. You get paid out, you can down tools immediately and your unused leave is not taxed at the full rate…

I thought same. Really all I want I share on my exit interview is how bad their mgmt practices go against general ethics and morals.
