And I have no more PTO what happens?
- lose my job
- go into work and save my job and pretend I don't have COVID
- some other choice
And I have no more PTO what happens?
@xxb+1cXOVQos, you equate reasonable difference of opinion with growing up or not? Wow, you have a lot to learn.
Didn't read any of the comments because the COVID posts here are all exactly the same.
Some weirdos take horse paste and some people took high school biology and got their shots.
One side tries to reason with the other, but the other doubles down on horse paste and conspiracy theories.
Tired of it. Grow up and get your d@mn shots.

The good old days! 79% of workers are back doing in-person work but people here seem to think they're special for some reason. Reality will settle in soon enough.
Remember when this site was about layoffs?
There is nonroutine event leave for covid up to 14 days. The form is on teamworks.
Sorry, if I need to have a nasal swab every week just to go to the office three times, no one needs to go to the office period.
They should just test everyone weekly regardless of vaccination status because of the breakthroughs. They should also require anyone who tests positive to file a work comp claim. The insurance carrier can then reasonably ascertain if the work site is the source, or rather because you went to a packed sports bar unmasked to root for your hometown Cowboys.
There are many benefits to testing and filing work comp claims: data tracking, early outbreak detection and mitigation, coverage if it is caused by work, extended disability and medical coverage if compensable, etc.
I think this RTO with flex seating has the potential to create more risk to the bank than traditional seating. Please hear me out. Let's say my office days are MTW and I've been vaxxed (which I am). Since I'm vaxxed, I wouldn't require testing, yet those who've been vaxxed have a higher likelihood of being asymptomatic. However, we can still spread COVID, and not experiencing symptoms we'd actually be more likely to show up for work -- meaning we'd have a greater opportunity to share our cooties with others.
In a traditional office environment, someone like myself would sit in the same cube every day, and those most at risk of catching my cooties would be the same people every day. In a flex seating environment, the number of people would increase three-fold, because every day it'd be a different group of people. This would be bad news for the bank.
Sure, they'll be requiring masks, but remember that (according to my understanding of the latest science) good masks protect others rather well and offer the wearer only some protection. This all goes out the window if the masks are cr-p or are not worn properly or aren't worn 100% of the time, and we all know from experience how that's going to go.
I’m not even trying to be funny, but do they still not offer Covid time under the specialized code so you don’t have to use PTO?

"how could you possibly prove you caught COVID at work?" - by using the contract tracing that we don't have of course /s
What if you caught the flu at work?
@rjq, nice idea, but how could you possibly prove you caught COVID at work?
Just make sure you cough on Charlie before you leave the office… I’m sure he’ll be making the rounds in all the locations to show he’s super productive when in the office.
Play your cards right and you can probably milk it for a year long covidcation.
On the other hand if you go to the grocery store and get COVID, you get Jack and S.
Can you get workers comp if you can prove you caught it at work?
Contact HR and file for Short Term Disability if you will be out more than 5 days. Follow the steps in the Benefits Book. The details of Short Term Disability, FMLA and Medical Leave are outlined.
FMLA is 12 weeks. After 12 weeks you have no job security. However you can remain on paid Short Term Disability for up to 26 weeks.
Short Term Disability pay is based on your years of service. There’s a chart that outlines your percentage of pay. 100% vs 65% of base pay.
Prior to being out 26 weeks, you are reviewed by and hopefully approved for Long Term Disability, which is 50% of base pay. If you purchased the LTD Insurance during benefits enrollment it will be 65% of base pay.
If you get Covid and you have no more PTO left you’ll go on short term disability.
this is what chainsaw calls a twofer.
his goal is to get rid of american workers
if forced into dibhazard zone he increases his odds
if you actually get sick more favor for chainsaw
if you get sick without pto he wins cause you no pay
if you get sick and die he wins
think like a sociopath and suddenly it all makes sense
That's right you have to come into work sick if you are out of PTO days. This is what happened at a former company I worked at. Allotted only 6 sick days (Wells does not differentiate sick days). Whether you had young kids at home, or not. PTO had to be planned in advance, no surprises. Therefore people would have to come into the office
while contagious with something like strep throat, colds, flu, etc. or be put on "counseling" to be fired for breaking with calling in sick and trying to use PTO days when all the sick days were used up.
What if you got strep throat or the flu or food poisoning and have no more PTO left? Covid isn't special...
