DEI vs Tolkin

Who wins?

Two forces battling each other.

Privileged white dude vs. controversial initiative resulting in unique lawsuits across the country where implemented.

It's equally ridiculous to discount what the West has accomplished. Scientists and thinkers always stand on the shoulders if giants, and most acknowledge it. No one culture "got there" alone and many have contributed. I'm a big Leibniz fan (dy/dx ftw!). If you're a fan of Al Khwarizmi, that's cool to. Wherever they are from, I'm just glad that our species has been blessed with so many gifted people.

@acb get over yourself.

The Hindi-Arabic numeral system paved the way for algebra and everything that followed, not to mention how the whole financial system would be a mess without it, but keep thinking that White protestants hold the monopoly on the greatest contributions to the world.

Did you see the news recently that ancient Babylonians used Applied Geometry and the theories attributed to Pythagoras 1,000 years before Pythagoras was born?

It almost seems like Western European Civilization just takes what other civilizations create, makes minor improvements on it, then claims they created it and it's the greatest thing ever.

DEI engages in classification, it divides people into a us and them view. It a symbol of extremists views trying to blame whites as evil. It plain and simple discrimination. It's members try and dehumanize white people as being some how a disease that needs to be cured. Its a creepy organization that acts as a mob to instigate demands with threats. DEI also engages in polarizing propaganda, every other article on the front site is propaganda now. Its shocking and scary as he-l this program exists.
Hiring Connor is also a unethical. This is like the case where JP Morgan hired Chinese communist CCP leadership children for kick backs and bribes (JPM is full stop a crime shop). Hire my kid and you get to do business. You could maybe play fast and loose in a different environment but not here and not now.

I’m starting to think the OP is getting paid by the DEI training class everyone else has to take.

Hello, HR! Please don’t make everyone take more training because of one childish post on a layoff website.

They both win, while everyone else loses.

This is a mere example of the hypocrisy of decisions made and DEI smoke and mirrors. In order to be Woke and look diverse, DEI is touted while so called privileged white people who have powerful connections in banking get high ranking executive roles and promoted. They don't consider the optics and don't care either. This is classic on their part - say one thing (DEI) and do another. Does it surprise you? It shouldn't.

They also discriminate against people not in hub locations for numerous roles, but say in the DEI training that geography is also part of DEI. Is it, really?! I call BS, because you can't ever get a promotion or new role unless you live in a hub or want to move to one on your dime! So is it really inclusive and diverse?! Not at all!! I watched people for years get jobs they weren't qualified for simply because they were in Charlotte while all other locations got snubbed. The team even provided feedback and it went nowhere!

There are two sets of rules - one for the privileged with powerful connections and another for those less privileged that falls under so called DEI which is more smoke and mirrors than actually practiced and lived. This place is a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
