BB&T is dead. It’s sad to see employees who were loyal for 30 years being cast aside. Most of the people I considered the fabric of BB&T are gone. Retirements from executive leadership and regional presidents continue. I’m glad I saw the writing on the was within two months of the merger announcement. It stated clearly that SunTrust would be in charge in September 2021. The death of BB&T was planned all along so executives could cash in. How can Kelly say this was good for BB&T if all the employees are gone. Who was it good for? I’m glad I left and moved on. The leadership team didn’t know how to embrace new ideas. I feel so bad for anyone who is still there. Just know, life is much better after you leave. Rip off the bandaid and get out if you can.

Cry me a river. Life is tough. You clearly aren’t. You know the deal. Disrupt to Thrive!
I left 3 months ago and it was totally the right decision. I will never forgive Kelly King for destroying what was a great bank. His ridiculous ego cost many people good jobs and for someone who claimed to be so obsessed with culture, the merger created the worst culture I’ve ever seen in my 30+ year career.
You might want to think of cashing in your stocks, once people see all the talent that is leaving on the 30th of September, I can see the stocks take a nose dive. I agree, RIP BB&T!
I was a 30 + hbbt that left as well and I 150% agree with you.
