I come here to read up and to maybe offer advice to people who are going through a quandry by relaying my experiences. You can take it or not take it, that is up to you. If I do help somebody, that's great. Sometimes all anyone needs to hear is a neutral voice giving a shred of support.

"It is clear that you do not like working at Oracle. So just leave versus complain. This site is about layoffs.
Maybe give your name to your manager so they know you no longer want to work at the company."

It would appear as though the person who posted this is a clown in training.

I for one treat this place like a support group. Like minded folks going through the same stupid $hit directly due to the assinine inclinations of Oracle's troupe of management clowns. Venting here helps keep a grip. If this guy wants nothing but news about upcoming layoffs, he'll be waiting for a long time. I doubt we'll ever see many layoffs at Oracle ever again as the attrition will continue to more than cover that need.

If I had to wager on it, I bet more people come to this sight with my mindset than that of this junior clown. I'd even take it a step further and say that a majority visit in hopes of getting news about personally being shown the door out of this insane asylum. I don't know anyone at Oracle any more who would prefer to not be laid off.

Effing. Manager. Clowns. + 1 wannabe.

“Oracle management needs much improvement, but that is not the purpose of this site.“

ORLY? Layoffs are 100% tied to management. Do you think people RIF themselves? This comment shows how far the self loathing that permeates Oracle has affected the rank and file.

Layoffs are ultimately a management failure. Companies used them sparingly, only when absolutely necessary and usually a seasonal feature. IBM was the poster child with a “no layoffs” policy until 1993. After that, layoffs were seen as a way to get a quick and easy short term stock bump. Wall Street loved layoffs and began to expect them. All down hill from there.

Management FAILURE.

To me, it was a manager who thought he was humor but his joke were disguising and his leadership corrupted this company.

Another one was imported from other country and he did everything to promote his own crew, unfortunately the management team just kicked him out our group but he still works for this company.
