The fact you haven’t been paying attention to company emails, you know, that tells you about the company you work for, tells us all we need to know about why you feel so overlooked.

Maybe you should pay attention more. It’s not always about race, sometimes it’s about awareness and performance.

So how about managers that add unnecessary "preferences" for positions? For example prefering a job candidate have a JD thus excluding in house candidates that are doing the job and hiring from the outside?

Lol middle/ senior management is 95% white, where are these POC you speak of?when I first got to Wells Fargo a couple years ago management was 100% white, I guess you prefer it that way. It seems to be a common theme to attack minorities on this board, basically for existing or bettering themselves. Wells Fargo feels guilty about their own past and recent discrimination, I doubt any of what you mentioned actually effects you.

Wells Fargo has a large group POC overpaid middle/senior level executives that push political rhetorics and nonsenses about DEI, BLM, HBCU recruitment and OneTen social welfare programs where those people exploit race to gain in employment, education and business opportunities. Rampant racism and economic inequality are problems across all Wells Fargo organization. What happens to hiring and promoting people based on merits regardless of race, gender and s-x orientation or friendly connections?

Considering 1/3 of the company (conservatively) are just twiddling their thumbs, it never surprises me that when an internal candidate is hired, the hiring manager is at least familiar with them. Makes the odds of hiring a dud a lot less.

@ocm calls @OP a pessimist then spends the rest of the post perpetuating a pessimistic mindset.

Typical hypocrisy these days.

Maybe you should actually do your job as opposed to making excuses and blaming everyone but yourself.

@OP

Chronic pessimism - You show signs of this
I’m not talking about slight pessimism now and then. It’s more about the serious, consistent, and unrelenting pessimism that makes people shy away from you and cause you to miss out on the beauty of life. Such pessimism is both stifling and paralyzing.

Take no responsibility - and this
Passing the buck and blaming others does nothing more than delay a solution and perpetuate a problem. If you’re not a winner, you’ll never take responsibility,. You won’t be the one person that will change the world.
