Verizon is literally grooming us to do EVERYTHING managers do and STILL pay us less.
If their motive is to push everybody out , they’re doing a great job.
I miss the good ole days when we could actually sell and get paid to do it.

What gets me is that there are many days there are more or as many managers on duty than reps. I do feel that once (if ever) stores are "fully staffed" rep wise. They will cut it to a 1 SM and 1 ASM per location.
The Verizon store culture has created a hidden liability called ast mgrs. I say this ,because what I see happening at my location. At this point,very rare that an ast mgr is at the location too open, they have a rep with keys open with another rep, they walk in a half to an hour later. At night they don't do any banking and just wait til we have closed the banking and store. When the gm is not there leaving early or coming in late thus not leading by example. When on the floor, just glorified greeters. Constant micromanaging of numbers that have nothing to do with contribution rate on what the rep is judged on regarding performance. Lastly, not too long ago Managers were the first in and last to leave. What happened?
Don't Be Surprised is Assistant Managers are cut after the Holiday Season!! Its gonna happen and that's why I refuse to take an Assistant Manager Role!

Pure conjecture on my part, but such a move could be in preparation for having fewer managers in the future. In which case, you'd do more, but you would still have a job.
Companies do what they have to do when it comes to cutting costs.
Also, if you really just hate your role, the job market is booming right now. Find the gig you want. It's out there.
