Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

We Care Fund. “Employee Care”

“Wells Fargo is supporting employees through its We Care Fund, a special program that provides financial grants to employees to cover unforeseen expenses caused by a disaster situation or a financial hardship that is beyond their control.”

Note to Charlie: Laying off 1 out of 4 of your employees is causing them a financial hardship that is beyond their control.

A lot of companies do that and not just WF. They encourage their employees to donate and then use it as a marketing ploy to say the company donated the funds. If they are really sincere about helping the cause, they should publish how much their executives are donating and CEO and execs should match regular employees donation 5x over. They can afford it.

Just another cheap remedy of the low pay at Wells.

@fnh…I can see your heart is in the right place with comment. The deal is have employees donate, pool those, -add some…send press release about money “donated” as a whole by company

Consultants cut is part of the deal… why firms charge over as part of the deal.. know what they are in to (when their friends get them the rate)

I don't understand you at all. The company is nice enough to donate to employees and you dislike that? I don't see big layoffs here, i see consultants cut, i see 3rd party consulting cut back, I see people walking for other jobs. But layoffs, no don't see much of that.
