Well, both have happened before so...
Why are they mutually exclusive again?
Yes which is more likely?
- There is a conspiracy of billionaires to control the media narrative so for a slight discount they can buy the stock of a bank which has an uncertain future, at best
or
- Wells Fargo is in hot water with the regulators (again)
You guys are really grasping at straws with these conspiracy theories to shill for this awful place.
If i want to buy a couple billion in Wells Fargo stock i would pay someone to post a story about unhappy regulators and vaguely talk of new fines. No sources required, no names given, no way to prove jack. Best of all i bought that couple of billion in stock for 10% off.
I’ll put good money on the bet that our executives are not “buying on the dip” for their personal accounts. They know we’re an accident waiting to happen.

It's unconfirmed rumor not news. Maybe there is something to it but first of the month it could just as easily be a plant some hedge fund made so they clean up on some short positions they were holding. Remember blue horseshoe like anaconda steel? That really does happen.
Always buy the dip. I have done that for more than 20 years. I won't say it has worked as I don't want other to think I am "flexing". But this is a great strategy to follow and one that pays off significantly when done consistently. Dips will come and go so take advantage.
bought in yesterday. nice quick buck!
more regulatory sanctions coming given the news on wells today
That's my take as well. Buy the dip. I've done better out of WF stock this year than I did from my bonus. Buy low and sell high is still a good way to make some extra cash.
