Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Stopped by to see if anything has changed - nope is has not

I left the bank not too long ago. Thank god. No relocations for mwah or layoffs, I left on my terms! It feels good. This place is suffocating.

I just stopped by to see how active the board was and it's still a circus I can see! Tons of people waiting on someone to tell them their destiny - move to a hub in 60 days or you're gone. Here's some advice - take the severance and RUN! RUN! Did I say RUN?!

Go take a few months off if you get severance and go vacation and fuggethabout this cr-p ho-e.

Good luck y'all!

@1ovb+1cD12kqh the only thing new is the execs pushing it. They must feel like they landed in the Stone Age with the tech here.

But who cares? Get paid truckloads of money for planning and execution on the lowest level of mediocre corporate vision, copied from the lowest hanging fruit projects at their previous employers. Get paid more as window dressing instead of taking chances at being innovative.

Unlike us peons whose skills stagnate, minds getting hammered from management stupidity and constant changes in direction, execs just sail on and usually UP from one barely success to next.

going to the cloud is not cutting edge!! every company in the US going to the cloud

Quantum Computing? China already has this and US Government for many years!

DevOps/DevSecOps - almost decade old

AI/Bots - many years, some decades

ummm, what is so new?

great post Op! Honestly in tech the direction is obsolete, only company other than JP Morgan telling you to go into an office, but yea that is their choice, but not my choice so every other company says work remote, decision is easy. Plus they all pay a ton more in other companies!

I dont let any company tell me what my destiny is, where area I have to work in, or if i need to go to an office or not. Only OLD Banks have this type of obsolete thinking.

Additionally, they try to tell you they use Cutting edge technology, LOL!!!!! Still laughing
Even McDonalds more cutting edge with their AI and BOTS , also maturity light years ahead! Banks need new mindsets

Definitely. These millennials had it all handed to them by helicopter parents. The parents’ basement comment is accurate and these folks are going to have to learn the basic lessons of life the hard way… just as the boomers did except that we had to learn it from 11 or 12 years old onward. Why do I feel like I worked more hours before I was 16 than millenials worked by 21? Easy, because jobs were super hard to find and everybody had to hustle for jobs that today’s kids turn their noses at.

Lol! Can’t believe this post got so many downvotes. Too many dang millennials must’ve gotten stung by the landed in your parents’ basement comment.

"left on my terms" Only place you landed is your parent's basement, admit it. Otherwise you wouldn't be back on this board you would be doing better things. If you spend the time to look at this board you have zero game.
