In the past, these RTO emails would be pushed out a month.
Now it's 2 weeks.
Someone is very motivated to get people to hate their jobs.
You can just see the seething look on their face when they realized the delay was inevitable. So they pouted and said 2 weeks instead of a month.
Wells sends everyone into an office, one person has the delta variant which spreads like wildfire, and the next thing you know they've spread it to family, friends, and the people in stores and day care and dry cleaners and the PTA meeting.
And then the ICU's fill up, so if you have a critical illness or injury, you can't get treatment.
Or you get the rona and get lucky and there's an open ICU bed for you, there's no oxygen to intubate you, becuase the entire world has been using up all the oxygen, and between climate change caused floods, fires, and storms, roads to get oxygen tanks are cut off.
Troglodyte management wants butts in seats so they can look out over their kingdoms.
There is no other rational reason.
So we go back before the holidays so we can get sick and maybe not be around for our families. Really they think so little of us.

This isn't a push back. It is part of the reboot strategy steps. If you think of it as a push back, of course you will get frustrated.
It's all the bonus. If we RTO next year, many will not leave and wait for the bonus. They are forcing many to quit now before handing off bonus early next year. Right?
Who cares anymore. Just get us back in the office. It is so much easier and faster to spread hate and negativity in person. Can't wait to be side by side with all of you again.

Two weeks extra has nothing to do with covid, it's because most the offices are not setup yet and they have fallen behind.

This doesn't even take into the account the potential liability to the company if anyone got infected while on the job. And contract tracing CAN show it.
There is no way anyone is going back until 2022 and probably next spring. Anything else is a super spreader event in these conditions.
Why just two weeks??? Are they seriously expecting the situation to change for the better???
Rip off the band-aid already and let us go back. This piecemeal postponement is extra annoying.
This company is pathetic.
Cowards. Every decent company (Apple, Google, Facebook, etc——you know, places where people actually want to work—have postponed until 2022. This POS company just refuses to do the right thing by their employees. Sickening.
