I seen a WF letter head today informing everyone that they must wear a mask regardless of - vaccination status - or where you are in the building. The email did not go out to everyone but a select group of folk, so I’m assuming it should be sent out to everyone very soon. Anyone else receive this email and will it lead to more RTO restrictions/set backs?

RTO Is being pushed back. They were waiting to release announcement until they determined a more definitive timeframe.
Scharf's natural attrition strategy due to RTO is foiled for the time being.

It should be. But our leaders are followers, and reactive rather than proactive, so it will have to implode before they realize it.
If current respected science is accurate:
- Masks provide only some protection to the wearer but great protection for those around the wearer
- Vaccines do not prevent COVID but generally reduce its worst symptoms
- Those who've been vaccinated can carry just as much virus as the non-vaccinated
Therefore, here are the recommendations, given the data scientists currently have (if the goal is to reduce the number of hospitalizations):
- Everyone who's able to should be vaccinated to protect themselves
- Everyone should wear a mask to protect others
Unfortunately about 40% of this country have this (small "l") libertarian bent and insist that no one can tell them what to do. And they'll process information in a way that supports their du----s choices.
Based on the new data from Cape Cod, being vaccinated didn't seem to stop anyone from getting the virus. You can make your own conclusion, but the vaccine does not stop you from getting the virus or stop you from spreading it. I have no idea if masks do anything, other than make one feel he is doing his part for the greater good, but it's just a feeling. Not based in facts/science.
I did not receive the email (just checked this morning 8/3/21). But with everything changing everywhere you never know anymore. I’m thankful to have a job and benefits. I will continue to do my best and plug alongs

COVID deaths are 1/10th what they were in April. We can debate the merits of RTO, but the "it's getting more dangerous!" narrative is clearly misleading. Look at CDC weekly stats yourself. New variants, as expected, are less lethal than previous iterations. Contagious sure, but the vast majority are asymptomatic anyway, so that's not that big of a deal. Bottom line, deaths are way WAY down (thank goodness). I still think RTO is d-mb, but it has nothing to do with COVID.
keep an eye on our competitors. Once one pushes out RTO, so will the others. Chainsaw won't lead the way, but rather will wait for his lord Dimon to make the first move. Until then RTO in waves the rest of this year depending on LOB.
Charlie is a damned id--t. Paying us to leave at this point would be cheaper for Wells Fargo in the long run when it comes to lost time, revenue, operating expenses, and overall reputational damage. Some “Savior of the Stagecoach” he turned out to be. The universe doesn’t seem to want to cut him a break. It’s almost like karma realizes he’s on the wrong side of the equation and is actively working against him to dash his dreams of a seamless corporate raid and sell off. Poor Charlie.
RTO will almost certainly be pushed back - too much liability for Chuckie to force people back in the office with a highly transmissible Delta variant. He will be a laggard (not a leader) in making the announcement though, just like everything else.
I did not get that memo. Per our CEO townhall and my org's AMA, RTO could still be a moving target. Things could happen overnight and CEO might declare another target. Some other companies have already decided to RTO next year. We all want to go back to normalcy but for me, I personally think we're still far from achieving that.
