Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Did anyone else NOT get the location survey emails?

Seems most people in my group got 2 emails - one was a notification that the request was coming and the other was the actual request. I am 100% remote and not near a hub. I’m sure I’ll get some smart@ss comments to this topic, but I’d appreciate info from anyone who may genuinely have information. Thanks.

Have been 100% remote for 12 years and got the email. Have no belongings in the office.

I'm within the 40-mile radius to local office (and 39 miles away from larger main office).

Still think RTO is B.S. for those who work with no one locally and whose roles involve 100% digital work.

@ary the handbook defines any change in office location from a home over 40 miles as a material change and states that you have the option to take severance instead of the new job assignment because of the material change.

My manager didn’t get the emails either. This manager is also 100% remote, more than 40 miles from a hub, and does not have the minimum 7 reports required by the spans and layers policy. Coincidence?

@kkb Most people on my team who were 100% remote prior to COVID got the survey.

No email for me either. I was in office 100% of the time prior to WFH with an assigned desk. I’m at a point now where I’m not looking to hard at anything that Wells Fargo does or doesn’t do regarding coordinating communication on RTO. They’ve dropped the ball on so many other things and have sewed the seeds of animosity between employees, management, and the C Suite that I expect them to drop the ball here too. I’m not kind enough to give our temporary leadership a “Needs Improvement”. They just need to leave.

I didn’t get it, have been WFH for the past 6 years with my MAC in a hub location (that is 200 miles from my house). My manager who joined the company 2 months ago did get one. Weird.

there have been emails going out (not sure if this is what you are referring to as a "survey") to those who were assigned to an office prior to COVID (regardless of how often you actually went in or not)

They are completely restacking floors. They want to know what to pack up that may have been in cubes or offices, including equipment. They ask you to identify your seat, because the CPG records are highly inaccurate about who sat where. Your things will be boxed and labeled and returned to you once you are RTO (if and when that happens). Me personally I had an assigned (permanent) office (not cube) and my entire building will be non-assigned seating.

If you are full time remote, then, you would not be getting this email since you wouldn't have had possessions in the office.

@ksu How did you know you were on a list for 8/19?

is be curious as to who gets this email. I know of some offices that closed down last year yet there are some employees who still have those locations listed in teamworks so perhaps it is going to folks with some type of discrepancy

We were told that in our group being 100% remote outside of 40 miles of a hub does NOT mean you are guaranteed a layoff. However they also said that they will be evaluating roles and criticality of roles, too. I didn’t get the emails, and what concerns me is that they’re not sending the email to anyone who’s already been placed on the chopping block. Let’s be honest - we do have people in HR who are just d-mb enough to do that.

I've been a full-time WFH employee for close to a decade. I'm in IT and didn't receive any location survey. My group has been told by my management that our current WFH status is going to remain in place for the foreseeable future.

A large part of my team is in a hub location, but I'm farther from any potential hub than anyone else. The nearest reasonably possible hub is about 80 miles away while the nearest likely hub (IT) is over 300 miles away.

Are you wondering that if you didn't get the e-mail....then they don't care about saving you a seat ? I'd wonder too. I'm 100% remote as well, but I got the e-mail. Maybe they are only sending it to people where the office location tied to your MAC is having some type of change done (i.e. remodel, closing), mine was.

I have observed that not everyone is getting them at the same time.

I've not received anything yet. My work address is on one side of the country and I'm on the other so it's all very much wait and see what happens. I was supposed to be on the list for August 19th so maybe they've looked at both addresses and figured it was easier to just wait it out. I hope that is the case.
