Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Corporates are pushing back RTO....but not Wells...Chainsaw NEEDS attrition....

Big U.S. employers are reviving mask rules, dropping vaccine mandates and pushing back office reopenings as the virus surge is hampering corporate America’s plans to get back to normal.

Chainsaw, however, isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.....

My husband is an attorney and his firm provides guidance to companies on navigating pandemic-related activities. The moment FDA approval comes through, most corporations (if not ALL companies) will mandate vaccines as condition of employment.

Today, news release that Delta variant research has found it to be more transmissable than flu and common cold... on par with chicken pox transmissibility (VERY HIGH).

Companies would never allow someone with chicken pox to infect an office AND they do not need to accommodate anti-vaxxers by permitting remote work.

Needle up, anti-vaxxers! (those who aren't independently wealthy and need a job)

The end of the road is almost here.

He will reluctantly be forced to either push back the RTO plans entirely or make them a whole lot more accommodating to people, or face lawsuits from workers and their families for “forcing” RTO in a dangerous work environment. With the new CDC study that’s about to be released, he is intentionally putting all employees and their families at risk of a more serious strain of COVID.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/29/politics/cdc-masks-covid-19-infections/index.html

Chuckie couldn’t give two sh--s about any of the employees or their families, but I don’t think he’s actually d-mb enough to unnecessarily force 100,000+ people back into offices where some employees and their family members will end up incredibly sick and/or die because of his directive.

He will drag his feet way too long before authorizing SP to issue a née directive and pout about all the missed opportunities for in-person collaboration, but I will just sit back and laugh when that email comes out! D-mb schmuck!

Those Wells Fargo kings and queens want control over the worker population so they wont care about us all packed in tight cubbies with the COVID 19 pathogens easily transmitting in confined rooms and indoors. Just for show that return to office, those Wells Fargo corporate elites with their private offices they close doors and disappear. See how they will really turn out and open collaboration and innovation as claimed Scott Powell ? What a bunch of knuckheads cant see the RTO high risks that the delta outbreaks across all Wells Fargo hub offices?

Wells was against laying people off in a pandemic before they were for it.

March 27, 2020 Forbes:

According to Reuters, in addition to Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and Bank of America, a number of other banks have publicly or privately declared that they will be holding off on reducing their headcounts. These companies include Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank and HSBC.

Of course they resumed a few months later.

When it comes to pandemic related decisions, Wells will do what everyone else does for the sake of the optics.

Wait for it.

“ Just like he announced no layoffs in 2020 after everyone else did.”

At a time when major U.S. banks have put the brakes on job cuts amid the coronavirus pandemic, Wells Fargo WFC is doing otherwise. Per a Bloomberg report, early this month, the bank resumed its retrenchment process under the mounting pressure for cost reduction, terminating a number of positions, with the plan of rigorous job cuts in the coming period.

"Starting in early August, we resumed regular job displacement activity," a spokesperson for the bank told Bloomberg. "We are at the beginning of a multiyear effort to build a stronger, more efficient company. We expect to reduce the size of our workforce through a combination of attrition, the elimination of open roles and job displacements,” he added.

Yes pushing back rto, but now requiring vaccination.

Published: Jul. 28, 2021 at 1:06 PM CDT|Updated: 11 hours ago

SAN RAMON, Calif. (AP) — Google is postponing a return to the office for most workers until mid-October and rolling out a policy that will eventually require everyone to be vaccinated once its sprawling campuses are fully reopened.

The more highly contagious delta variant of the coronavirus is driving a dramatic spike in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. Google’s Wednesday announcement was shortly followed by Facebook, which also said it will make vaccines mandatory for U.S. employees who work in offices. Exceptions will be made for medical and other reasons.

The layoffs were announced in 2020. Other big banks said they would not layoff in 2020, but Wells was straight up and announced big layoffs were coming.

Charlie is a follower, not a leader. He’ll be one of the last to push back RTO, but he’ll do it after the other big banks do. Just like he announced no layoffs in 2020 after everyone else did.

Don’t worry, we won’t be the only ones forced back into the office if other big banks are still letting people WFH. Charlie doesn’t roll like that.

He’ll do whatever Chase does.
