So Charlie cut so many jobs that HR is at 200% capactity and CANNOT even recruit jobs that are open. I applied for several in May and June- have not heard anything back- just says status is review. I dont quite get him and his cuts, but I guess stock price is up- but we cant even fill jobs as NO ONE is screening any.

@pki+1c43k7op It means the same as under review, except you have moved to the interview phase. They don't move you back and forth between "under review" and "interviewing". You'll either get invited to a next-round interview (and your status won't change), or you are not moving forward and they will eventually disposition you as "not selected".
It seems like most companies want to do all first round interviews, before they move to second round. So if you were early in the process, it could take a while to find out if you are moving forward. Lots of vacation right now. I just interviewed externally and was told it could be at least 2 weeks before I hear about next steps, because the hiring manager is going on PTO for 1.5 weeks plus I'm one of the first interviews they've conducted. So they still have more first round people to meet.
It's really hard to be patient. To the candidate it feels like it's been super long, but it's just a drawn out process no matter where you are interviewing.
What does it mean when the status on the job board goes from review to interview, even after you did the interview? So what I am saying it stayed in review during the interview part and after it for awhile, then most recently switched to interview… I know I do not have another interview coming up, so not sure what to think.
Eh...I’m hiring right now. I did face a 4 week delay in getting assigned a recruiter, but now things are proceeding like clockwork. So this just means my posting was delayed. I was told to expect such a delay due to high volume. Yep, for a company that’s downsizing, we sure do have a lot of net-new open roles.
Time to accept reality. Reviewed status just means they are waiting for someone better. You are just good enough to warrant not getting an immediate denial, but not good enough to actually get hired for the role.
@qnw - I don’t buy it. Requisitions usually up a week for applicants to apply. Then prescreens. Then 2nd round interviews. Go sell your fake story to someone else. Any manager at Wells knows your depends are filled to the top
I’ve applied for non WF jobs recently, and noticed that in some cases I’d applied to other jobs at the company a year or more ago that still show as “under review” on their careers site. I guess the recruiter never got around to closing out the job.
My point is, they usually wait until a candidate has accepted an offer before closing a job. But sometimes HR just forgets — and it’s not just at WF.
I applied for one in June and it just says in review, also.
I assume that I am not going to get it because usually when I apply, I get a quick response. Could be the position is on hold? Anyway, I would move on.
What @qnw said. I know first hand that hiring continues as usual right now. Multiple roles filled in the last several weeks. If you haven't got the word yet it's highly likely that someone else is getting an offer. Sorry OP.
I just hired someone today (internal) and it took less than two weeks posting to offer. Don’t be so sure recruiting is the hold up. Your application will stay in review until someone accepts an offer.
Do you work for JPM? If not, that is why you are not getting screened or responses. Or your last name is not Tolkin.
