Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why can't Schart "Embrace Candor" $$$

Charlie and his OC minions are the biggest hypocrites. They don't follow one of his basic tenets of "Embrace Candor" If they did, this RTO policy and many of the other things they've done in the past 12-18 months would be called for what they truly are: An elaborate multi-faceted exercise to force employee attrition so the company does not have to pay layoff severance. How this guy and his leaders can continually say these things and keep a straight face goes to show the length and depths they'll go in selling their lies. At the end of the day, they just want to reduce headcount to pad their own wallets, increase their stonk options, and the employees can stick it.

I agree they want attrition, but our RTO Plan is essentially the same as all of our peers across the industry, just slower since we are afraid to innovate or step a toe out of line for fear of making the regulators look at us.

I get that people don’t like the RTO plan for multiple reasons, but it’s not like WF is upping the ante on RTO conditions or restrictions.

When you can form an intelligent thought and actually make a point without insulting or name calling, then people may listen to what you have to say. Until then however you need to know that any post with an insult or name calling simply validates your lack of intelligence and instantly discredits anything you have to share.

Embracing candor does not equal embracing whining. Bring something productive and perhaps it'll be embraced.

Good management would go ahead and make the cuts that need to happen to move forward now and stop the slow trickle. Destroying morale and possibly having your best employees jump ship is an awful way to run a company no matter who's seat (employee, management or shareholder) you're in.

Charlie is known to make drastic cuts at any company he goes to and make life miserable for the employees to force attrition. It's bad for all parties with a vested interest.

@kyo+1c2ukVt3 You show your ignorance when you make statements like this. If you are happy with the job this guy has done, it is you who clearly has no business sense.

RTO is ultimately about control and forcing attrition. Arguably, Charles in Charge needs to jettison 50k employees. He’ll bring the misery to do it. He’s a high paid temp with one job.. for you not to have one and for him not to have to pay severance.

I’d like to say that the executive committee will reverse course on their RTO plans, but I feel like they would rather do the wrong thing and worry about the fall out later. Berkshire Hathaway dumping as much stock as they did was a dead giveaway that Uncle Warren doesn’t see Wells Fargo as having solid footing. The current top of house is more interested in short term gains and cashing out. They could care less about long term solvency and profitability.

The embrace candor thing was before we hired this guy and had the interim. I forget his name now, but he seemed decent

Clearly you have no business sense and most likely lack a complete education. As a shareholder I could not be more happy with the job Charlie has done so far and I support him stepping up the pace of additional cuts and re-orgs. Anyone who knows anything about business and Corporate America knows that this is work that is needed to position our company for go forward success.

Where did you work before the pandemic? As I see it, it's actually a win win. Most folks never got to work from home now there will be a flex option
