This thread was doomed from the start due to its title.

OP, please review training classes and do some critical thinking.
Hint: Next week start a 'RTO "PRIMARY" Thread for the week of 8/2'

  1. S. - It still won't work but you can feel better about your effort :)

(just a light-hearted comment about the world we live in today)

Thank you for starting this thread. It’s been sorely lacking on this site. Now we have a clear direction of where to post. Way to step up, I can see a possible Exceeds ranking in your future.

@nii+1c2iEJ29 You said it perfectly bubba. Now try convincing mindless CEO Schart and his OC minions of this. Nobody will be able to though since all this really is a means to get accelerated attrition so they won't have to pay layoff severance. Take away any flexibility the employees have will help with their ultimate goal. Plus it'll help Schart and his OC followers increase their stonk options as well.

The crazy thing is that even the vaccinated will likely catch COVID Delta after being in an office 8-10 hrs. a day, 2-3 days per week. It’s just a matter of when because of the exposure rate.

The doorknobs, the elevator buttons, the crowded elevator, the restrooms, the cafeteria, the conference rooms, the break rooms, the guy coughing in the next cube, the guy who sneezed in conference room and then left…all points of exposure.

@nii+1c2iEJ29 - Software can be developed from home.

Just a quick question for the OP: Who decides who gets to post a “master thread”? Is there some special authority awarded to individual contributors? In other words, who died and made you pope?

I am in facilities management so we are already back but I do not see reason for many other folks to return - I see a ton of people come in, log in, put headphones on for 8 hours and then go back home. Why would you want them in the office.

I get the need for some groups to more tightly interact (e.g., when designing software, etc). but in general most folks are just fine working from home.
