So if your husband, wife, or child is extremely high risk you'll be forced to RTO anyway even if you have no peers, directs, or managers at your assigned building. Nothing like risking your family's life so you can attend Skype meetings and make calls from one building vs another! I expect employers to cr-p on their employees, that's par for the course, but this is a new low.

You'd be fine if you didn't do those things as well, but to each their own. Doesn't change the fact that there are extenuating circumstances. This issue actually isn't even about COVID necessarily. Could be any immuno-compromised person and any infectious disease.
get vaccinated and continue wearing a mask and you'll be just fine honestly.

I haven't been to any public indoor spaces except the occasional grocery store for over a year now. When I go there, I am masked up and do not bring my children or spouse. I do my clothes shopping and everything else online and do pickup or have it delivered. No movies, no indoor church, no restaurants, and it will stay that way for a long time.
I understand the plight and concerns of parents, but for those of you worried about bringing COVID home to your kids, will you be sending your kids off to school in a month or so? If so, I'd actually be more worried about them bringing it home to you. I'm not saying you shouldn't be worried either way, but IMO a school would be a worse breeding ground for germs than an office setting.
It's not just about kids, but in any event, no, I'm not going out anywhere right now. Instead of being a douche for no good reason, just be thankful that you have your health. You don't want the alternative, trust me. I don't care where I work, I've done offices and WFH and it's small potatoes, when healthy.
I rarely “work with” people on my team so it would do me no good to be in the same place as them. Even if it were beneficial, they are in other states across the US. The truth is the people I work with are not even in my group and they are all over the country as well. Literally such a waste of time and a good way to lose good talent.
Who has not been to a restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic? raises hand it’s not that hard when you have bigger priorities like the safety of your family.
Guarantee that WF actuaries have crunched the numbers and it's cheaper to get sued about giving people covid than handing out packages.
Please direct future posts to the Master Thread. Thanks for your cooperation.
For you all complaining about infecting your children, are you not getting info to stores and restaurants right now? You just stay in the bunker? GTFO keep looking for excuses to whine
I am at high risk and wanted to find out what the process is should I need it. The RTO policy states you apply for an accommodation thru the HR. But, your department honoring it is completely voluntary.
The vast majority of children have very little risk from COVID, of any variant. There are exceptions however, which is why the policy should be flexible. And no, "flexible" doesn't mean 'OC approval you will never get regardless of the circumstances'.
If Chuckie thinks parents are going to willing expose their children to COVID just to make him happy, he's d-mber or more cruel than we thought. Chuckie has discriminated against working parents at his prior jobs and didn't get away with it after the employees stood up. For all the parents out there, STAND UP!! Talk / complain to your managers, ask them to escalate, send emails in to the RTO Planning inbox, SPEAK UP and be heard! Nothing will change if you don't!
RTO is ultimately about control and forcing attrition. Arguably, Charles in Charge needs to jettison 50k employees. He’ll bring the misery to do it. He’s a high paid temp with one job.. for you not to have one and for him not to have to pay severance.
I’d like to say that the executive committee will reverse course on their RTO plans, but I feel like they would rather do the wrong thing and worry about the fall out later. Berkshire Hathaway dumping as much stock as they did was a dead giveaway that Uncle Warren doesn’t see Wells Fargo as having solid footing. The current top of house is more interested in short term gains and cashing out. They could care less about long term solvency and profitability.
@ngh+1c21gnuO - More than 0.005% of us have kids younger than 12 who aren't eligible for any vaccine yet and with the Delta variant, they are more at risk, even if they aren't high risk.
It's the standard policy, and yes it's in writing.
Is there any factual basis for your post or are you just making stuff up? You have an email from HR saying you have to RTO despite your special needs?
Nice how people assume that management hasn’t already been approached with these situations… and still told no.
And you're free to not be a heartless wench, and yet here we are.
you can also out in a request with your management for a temporary exception to WFH until your situation changes
I would consider those extreme circumstances and they can't solve for the .005% of the population. Just work with your manager instead of thinking the world is coming to an end.
You are free to find another job.
Experiencing the same, two special needs - high risk- kids not yet available to get a vaccine and are not in school until they have it.. I’m very disappointed. This is.. just unbelievable in a few ways.
