A "fair" off cycle salary increase is being considered for those who can prove vaccination when returning to office in September and October. Those not vaccinated or having stated they prefer not to answer on the questionnaire will continue to be marginalized for non-compliance.

SN and WAVE will end roughly 50% or more of TC and FTS employment. This writing has been on the wall for a long time now. But everyone is hanging on, hoping to get a package. One of my best friends works in TC and says morale is the lowest its ever been. Its only a matter of time. Step one was not truly owning our hardware any more. Step two is using self healing virtual environments and moving almost all employees to bring their own everything eventually, removing any need to support a device at all. Everything we do is monitored down to the very minute details. Pretty much everything but keylogging. Delete an email? They know. Work on other things and occasionally reach over to shake your mouse to keep it from sleeping? They know. Connecting from another state on a vacation when you should be working at home? They know. All of that is being gathered and will be used against you when its time to start firing people. They are working to gather info about basically every minute of every day you are at work. If you are not productive for 99% of that time - minus breaks - it will be used against you. Missed meetings, time spent browsing non work sites, IM chat logs across multiple clients, all of this is collected. How do I know? I work in the group that uses the tool that gathers all of this info.

@1uun: what’s funny is everyone knows regional service advisors don’t do much. Even funnier is our titles changed to regional service managers. With that title change, we still do the same sh-t.

Between the simplicity of this job, the good pay, the lack of accountability, and managers that are “just like me” has given me the ability to raise my 2 kids and take them to the parks during the week, attend almost every game and recital, go on afternoon dates and even nab a new husband. I hope this gravy train doesn’t end but I suspect it will after 18 years of this.

Seems like a lot of good people were fired for ridiculous reasons and a lot of id--ts remain on the job because their studio shines, or the just complai. But keep cashing checks. Chainsaw, Botox, Snott, Fredo a d the others did a stiff salary cut and reduction of problem children. Next round, it’ll be more good people who can’t adapt. But the under-performers always seem to survive because they are cheap. And the old moth ba--s hang around thinking they’ll have three plus years of severence.
This company is an embarrassment. (As was our credit card commercial over the weekend during the olympics).

@1sgy my entire team is paid to appear busy during the week, and kick @$$ being busy all weekend. With minimal staff working the busiest times. There are people who do the busy work but never show up for the real work.

I know SN is going to be a big step towards automating my team out of existence. I imagine I'll be let go roughly 6-12 months after SN goes live. Somehow the volume will magically dry up after an initial period where we are involved heavily in remediation and are required to teach the software how it effed up. Then as it effs up less and less often our workload will dry up, and we will be appropriately cut to the skeleton remediation crew. And that's only if we get lucky enough to be the surviving team of the three total, who do the same job function in very similar areas, that remains to experience that cut.

I’m a regional service advisor and I get paid $80K to forward corporate emails to branch managers. I literally do nothing but forward emails all day or repeat whatever Corp tells me to repeat. To boot, I don’t even have to show up at the branches, like ever. I show up when I feel like it but I pretend I have a lot to do.

The pay is not my concern. I make about $175k to make PPT slides so my boss can look good to higher ups. Ad naseum. I can't stand PPT decks but I've cleaned toilets years ago for a lot less pay. 6 years of higher education to create PPT decks. Lol!

Or someone else who is not entitled will fill your seat so fast, your head will spin. They don't care if you come back or not. You're doing them a favor by not. They'll get rid of you for insubordination.

If you think your pay is too low, then negotiate that with your manager and/or find a new job….

Who said it was a negotiation? Its not a garage sale. Don't show and you're sacked.

Or I can cut your pay 100% and not worry about whether you want to return to office or not.
