Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How to fight return to office....

Step 1 - Tell them you are not vaccinated even if you are. They cant legally verify it either way.

Step 2 - WFH does not mean you have to remain "home"; have an aunt or uncle in Bumfuk Alaska? Set your personal address there. When questioned, say you moved.

Step 3 - When they ask why you did not get a shot, say you object on religious grounds. The wingnuts in congress passed law after law protecting your right to not have your religion infringed. Satanism or Church of Flying Spaghetti monster are both worthy religions to consider.

The bank MUST provide de minus accommodations for your religious observances. WFH is de minus cause it cost the bank almost nothing and you are WFH effectively right now.

If ANYONE starts probing you with questions like "Gee Bob, I didn't know. how long have you been a Satanist" - this is lawsuit material. Do not be afraid at all to use it. The bank has an anti-retaliation policy too. So if you sue and they retaliate, you can sue them AGAIN.

And if all else fails, Step 4 - When they demand you return to office, ask for a relocation package. That's worth a few tho. When they say you moving is not permitted, ask them to quote the policy that says this is true (there isn't one - wfh didn't say you couldn't go some where else...its an emergency situation.)

Chainsaw wants his payday at the expense of your paycheck and fringe benefits.

They are out for blood and chainsaw only cares about his stonk bonus money; he does not give one fuuk about you.

It is high time to let these bstards know how much you appreciate them in return.

Start using these laws to your full advantage people.

Somebody just learned a new word today. The word for today is “genius”. Truth is, most intelligent people don’t need to boost their fragile self- esteem by name-calling. This is a more common practice among trolls and the less- than- genius sector. Good for @wpv though - keep telling yourself you are smarter than the average bear.

All fired up over it, but I think you actually mean "de minimis" accommodations. That doesn't require an employer to offer WFH because it's a cheap option or more convenient. It only means that the employer doesn't have to face an unreasonable burden to accommodate religious practices.

So if your religion means you don't want to have a vaccine it does not mean that an employer must offer you the chance to work from anywhere because of it. It means that they can take steps to creatively accommodate within reason, such as an alternate floor, assigned seat, extra sanitizing, etc.

Soon companies will be able to verify who has been vaccinated. Everyone vaxxed was entered in databases (name, location, vaccine dates, etc.) That's how govt. has been able to report on the #s. They are creating the database now based on local data and soon it will be verifiable by others. In some states, you (anyone) can already do lookups on people.

Like it or not, during public health crisis, people are being monitored.

This proves what I suspected.

The local stores, etc., do not require mask for vaccinated people.

And I know half the people without masks are liars.

So much for the "right thinking" folks having any honor.

Just grow up and get your shot.

it's been very clearly said over and over that not taking the vaccine will not be an accepted reason to grant WFH, no matter the "why" you aren't taking it

You can have WFH if you have a documented medical accommodation. There's a process for that and it does require physician documentation.

The fact that we are going back to an office when covid cases are surging is insanity. They have no respect for anyones' health or well being.

The only part I agree with is:

“Chainsaw wants his payday at the expense of your paycheck and fringe benefits.”

Yes by all means change your work location to Alaska while you are living in California. You will now be paying AK I come tax vs CA which will save you thousands of dollars a year, although when the state of CA comes after you for tax fraud it won’t matter if you work from home or not because you will be in prison.
If you don’t want to do the job quit and find a new one.

This is LITERALLY the worst plan I've heard of yet. But go ahead genius who didn't read the original wfh agreement communications that went out and covered this legally so you don't have a nut to stand on in court. You do you.
