@2qvr. Makes sense. Right before the next quarter profit reporting.
That’s all it’s about now, making the next quarter numbers look good. The he-l with everything else. Get mine and get out.
So is there a pause this month?
08/19 will be big. Take it from someone in the know
@var+1bzfUX4C Actually it’s C.J. trying to get Chainsaw to smirk that beautiful smirk.
@1sye+1bzfUX4C
You are full of it!
Yet they send out emails about retaining records in case they are audited. Apparently they don’t read their own propaganda. Go figure.
I think the tech folks in Commercial Lending are learning some hard truths about now. I have already heard that dev is up in arms about having to document test results in ALM for trace ability.
As I have said before, the 3 and 4 up people making these decisions have no idea how the process really works in the trenches.

I know we're getting hit on 8/19 and we all report up to SVB through the business CIO. These are mostly senior technical roles (software engineers etc.) but there are some Tech Bus Systems (analysts and associates) in the mix as well. Looks more like LOB rather than job title specific to me but who knows.

Do you happen to have heard any new dates for displacing the "technical folks" under SVB - non-tech titles (Sys Qa Associates, former Sys Qa Associates now known as Tech Bus Sys Associates and scrum masters, etc.)
6/24 wave spared most of those in Digital under CM, with only a few that I personally know gone. And that seems very-very odd... Identical titles, identical functions, gone there but not here. July and August layoffs were (are) rumored on this site for those titles - would anyone with legitimate access to such info be able to confirm if that's true?

I know we're going to lose some folks on 8/19. Even though we're part of Commercial Lending, the engineering staff reports up into SVB through the Enterprise CIO but as you say, it will mostly be on the business side.
The title of this post should be "RIP your Gig" Careers no longer exist. Its jus gig work now
not a horrible place, good learning experience; I found more of a position in line with my goals so not waiting around to see the next date. Good luck to everyone!
Me says OP is Charlie having fun
I was told my my managers manager that no one else on his team would be let go. We have mostly survived due to removing contractors and natural attrition. We did lose a horrible manager though. Unfortunately he came back as a nonmanager to another team for our teams rejects under the STAR program. The guy was as shady as they come.
@zpu+1bzfUX4C, IN D FACE!
@zpu+1bzfUX4C: Nope, you just didn't see it.

This guy has nailed every major layoff ....
Oddly enough after I posted about missing this joker on 6/24 this 8/19 date was confirmed by my manager today. But, big caveat here, this is not a date applicable to Technology under SVB. We may get winged but this date will be non-tech folks.
My guess is:
- there are days with small amount of layoffs during a quarter and a big one on last Thursday before the quarter-end.
If that’s the case, next big one would be 9/23 or 9/30
09/29 is the next big cut
The guy does not know what are happening in technology. He/She missed date that ITs had layoffs.
I only clicked on this thread to tell everyone that I no longer click on these RIP threads.
RIP this thread
The Notorious R.I.P. himself! How ya doin’ mayne?
Dale the OP, did your plan to start Prestige Worldwide after you got kicked out of the basement fail? So you have nothing better to do than be a Troll on The Layoff?
what about July?
WF is a corrupt ho-e..who cares about layoffs.
Oh look, its Dale and Brennan again. Dale, did you get tired of playing your drum set and jerking off and decide to stir up some shi!?
