Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Winston-Salem

I admit, I’m a little biased since it’s been my home for the past 16 years, but does anyone have any insight on the future of Truist in Winston? I know when the merger was announced, it was indicated Community Banking would be headquartered here, but I haven’t seen any evidence of it. Everyone I know that has left is having their role replaced in Charlotte. Plus the buildings are continuously being consolidated.

I love my adopted hometown, and afraid it is just a casualty of the merger.

By the end of this year, there will only be two corporate office locations in Winston Salem. Very few Community Banking teammates remain here in the back office.

You know its funny how some post just disappear, mainly the offensive ones. I could care less however just goes to show you they are monitoring this site as well.

Pain for the sake of progress is one thing, but this merger was not only totally unnecessary, it actually damaged both banks. This whole thing has been the opposite of a win/win; it has been a lose, lose, lose, lose. I honestly hope Kelly has to answer for it one day, because he has harmed so many families and communities for nothing but an ego boost.

We in Wilson feel the exact same as you. I guess we will all just have to wait and see.
