Which locations are considered hubs besides MN, AZ & NC? Are any smaller hubs closing due to size and location?

At least for Corporate Risk, San Francisco (& the Bay Area in general) is not a hub. I repeat, not a hub, as in we have not been able to hire there for ages. And yet it is a hub because tons of us work here! So I call it a “non-hub hub”. I also consider it a slap in the face that SF continues to be WF’s headquarters! For what reason? To mock SF employees who have no opportunity to move internally, that’s my belief.
And yes, I’m aware that other LOBs like Technology have hubs in CA.
Only 2 hubs in the future. 3-5 years from now it'll be complete
@2plb - He wouldn't go to SFO, because of personal reasons. Something the wife found out about. rumor is, over her dead body would he work there.
The hub city in CA is San Francisco. Also, when a city is denoted as a hub it means the city. So there can be multiple buildings used as the hub. San Francisco is a big example of this. Same for Charlotte.
@2wri. I think you are missing the point. The poster is talking about cases where you are forced to go to a far hub city where you had a shorter or no commute before.
Speaking of lower costs, the company has had little or no electricity, sewer, utility costs for over a year but apparently those savings wasn’t enough for them and they had to lay a bunch of people off anyway. No limit to corporate greed when it is unchecked.
Why would there be a cost of living adjustment for going to the office? They didn't reduce our pay when they started WFH soooo, yeah.
If you're asked to move to a location that that is a certain distance from your home, that can be considered a material change to your job, making you eligible for severance if you refuse.
Remember, no cost of living adjustments when you have to go back to the office. To create attrition give them a far hub assignment. It doesn't matter than a team spread across three hubs is remote, get them into the office to bring down headcount.
If the CEO will not move to the SF hub. That speaks volumes. Run for the hills!
You all don't forget that our own CEO refused to move to a hub HQ upon hire (SF). Even Charlie Munger was quoted as saying it was ridiculous our ceo was not in SF. New York was not a hub. It is now. This is the epitome of hypocrisy.
Just because you live near an approved hub, doesn’t mean you won’t be asked to move across the country to another hub.
And don’t forget, with layoffs occurring simultaneously, you can sell your home and uproot your family and consequently be terminated.
What a great solution and stress inducer for everyone.
There are something like 25 approved hubs, but each LOB can determine which hubs are approved for their purpose.
Atlanta has a pretty large presence
Is it the general consensus that large centers in places like Beaverton OR, Sioux Falls SD, Concord, CA, San Antonio, TX, etc. are all going to be emptied and closed?
Off top of my head, here are some of the hubs:
Charlotte, NC
Des Moines, IA
New York City, NY
Minneapolis, MN
St. Louis, MO
Maybe 1 in CA
Dallas, TX (technology mostly)
Phoenix, AZ
Internationally they will keep India & Philippines, including sending more US jobs there. Also keep presence in London, Ireland, Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia and a few more.

Des Moines and new York city are hubs. There us one in florida and Oregon
The best hub is easily AZ.
Also heard we are going to 2 new Data centers in Dallas & Reston, VA.
All others will consolidate to these 2 locations eventually
The whole states aren't hubs. Only Charlotte is a hub in NC. So that means Winston Salem will close etc
CT was moved under Mack, I’d imagine some reorgs and cuts coming there
