“Being used and thrown away” is the Oracle Way.
Sad, but very true. Unfortunately, I did not know that until it was too late and I was the one who was to be used and thrown away next. It's like we were all just sitting in the queue waiting for our turn, but didn't know what was coming for us.
Afterwards I understood why a lot of developers just stay on the sidelines, don't volunteer for anything, don't try to do anything useful. It's safer that way.
It's sad that it works that way, because nothing can ever really be accomplished. People will complain that you are not doing anything, but really stand up and try to accomplish something and you will be beaten down into your place.
No attention is good attention at Ora-ho-e.
Ship cannot possibly stay afloat with the way people are treated. No one wants to do anything. Good people have left, as they should.
