So screwed being new to WF - little less than 2yrs, what do you get if they let you go?

I’ve been here just under two years too and I ask my self that same question almost everyday. I started applying outside WF a month ago. The group I’m in is due for an overhaul. If my group starts to get layoffs I’ll beg to be one of the lucky ones.

Yes, you are getting very good advice from some commenters; best thing you can do is change jobs soonest you can! Worst job I have had in my career.
The last few years have been the worst of my career. Here is some FREE and SOLID career advice for you from someone who's done and thing or two and seen a thing or two. GET OUT of this place as soon as you can. It's not going to get any better, anytime soon.
The better question is why have you stayed for two years? Your entire time here has been the worst it has ever been in twenty years. Get out now!!
Like @tha, I’ve been in finance for 30 years and have been laid off twice. Luckily I had a job already teed up when the first happened. The second was with Wells, and I got an offer for another position a week after my 60 day notice period was up. Since I am now 100% WFH and not near a hub, I’m pretty sure it’s a matter of WHEN I get the axe, not IF. I’m REALLY apprehensive about not jumping ship right now, especially being over 50, but I kinda feel like, what the h3ll? With my tenure, I’ll have about 8 months to find a job counting notice + severance before I have to tap into savings. Even at my age, I feel like I’ll find something in 8 months, so why not ride it out and enjoy the paid time off and the ability to focus 100% of my attention on finding the next gig when the time comes.

Survive. I’ve been in banking for 20+ years. I’ve experienced 4 mergers/acquisitions since 2009. I’ve been laid off twice. All you can do is polish your resume now, start networking if it happens and find another gig as quickly as possible. Took me 9 months in 2009, took me 9 months again 2019-2020.
