I appreciate your decade of service. I gave 4 decades of service, never had less than exceeds expectations, generated twice the peer average production with quality results. Did not matter, got displaced on a disrespectful group call based solely on geographic location. It is what it is but I am sorry for all those younger than me. And now, they have discontinued new STAR opportunities. I pray all of you looking for work find something quickly.

I've been at WF for a year. Seriously, it's a total mess. Non stop layoffs and re-orgs that clearly are not working.

This is a life lesson for you young go getters.

No company is worth long hours of spending your life working overtime and ignoring your family. Remember who is important because a corporation will cut you loose without a second thought no matter what you have done for them or how long you have done it.

The older you are, the harder it is to find your next gig. So look out for yourself and your family first.

Hah. HR is so overloaded that they let so much slip. The layoff of someone who was about to retire (and intent had been filed), so now notice and lengthy severance gets paid instead. The unemployment claims that shouldn't be contested along with the ones that should but don't or they miss the timelines... hilarious.

If you live everyday like it’s your last, some day you will be right.

I am realy sorry that they handled things this way. If HR doesn't reach out to you after the notice period to help you retrieve your personal items, please reach out to your manager or their manager because there are admins that will help you get your items. Even if your team was relocated to a different floor or building. They won't be able to help until after the 60 notice period and after the physical return to the office. Again I am really sorry.

Sorry to all who were laid off. There is no good or sensitive way to deliver that kind of news.

Severance information will be sent to you. There will be information as to resources, details of your continuation pay and rules of your 60 day non-working notice. Enjoy 2 months of pay while it's summer.

Sorry for all of those let go. But take solace in the fact that CS and all of his cronies, including the son in law of his mentor JD from JPM are raking it in right now at your expense. I mean. He has thanked you for taking care of our customers

Ours was over a Skype call too. Knew nothing on details such as shipping stuff back and getting belonging that are still in the office. Matter of fact couldn’t answer and questions. This was in E&A tech.

A now-defunct financial services company I worked for in the nineties laid off 4000 employees - mostly call center people = via voice mail. There were no questions. The message was taped.

This has happened to me at a different company. The guy was in Aruba, called in to announce the layoff to 100 and stated they had done hard research to ensure only the best were retained.

I interrupted him and said: " that's interesting because a quick analysis I just did shows you laid off all your exoeruenced people and kept the interns and new hires."

It got quiet and then he had the audacity to say " Well I wasnt actually there. I've been on vacation for a couple weeks."

They all lie.

After three of these types of layoffs I see how impersonal working for a corporation is and I no longer try to do whats best for companies. I do my job, do my best to honor my G od and my family but no longer worry about succeeding or failing. Most times a reorg wipes out all progress and its as if it never happened.

Things I lost sleep over and built were gone as quickly as I could blink.

If you werent laid off today, casually look and apply to anything that looks interesting. Its all a vapor that is gone as quickly as a decision is made.

It was quality analysts in home lending. Not a site closure, they were at different sites.

What part of home lending was laid off?

Yup I was one of them. Over a Skype call that didn’t even work for about half the people. Couldn’t hear a thing. Managers didn’t even have details on severance. So glad I bent over backwards and gave so much of my personal time to complete all the trainings they wanted us to do so they could just toss us out.
