If you’re a remote employee and they offer you the option to relocate to a hub or take a package, and you refuse relocation, do you still get the benefit of 60 days working/non-working notice in addition to severance?

Before covid, yes, that was my offer. 60 days non-working plus my severance based on years of employment I held out on answering them and covid saved my ar-e from being laid off.
No guarantee they do this again, but during the period before covid started, then yes you got the 60 day non working notice period. If you were technology here’s what the original timeline looked like:
1) you were informed around April that your position was being relocated to one of the hubs.
2) you had a few weeks to decide to accept or decline.
3) if you accepted you were expected to move and be in new location by October 31st.
4) if you declined, you’d continue working through the summer and your official notice date would start on October 1st, which would start the 60 day non working notice period.
5) on or about December 1st the 60 day non working notice would end. your severance period would start and would continue for a period determined by how long you were with the bank.
Call 1.877.HR.WELLS and ask one of their robots this question. I am sure they have a call script for this since they are always so thoughtful about how their stupid fu----g decisions impact people. Disclosure- they are experiencing high call volumes and wait times may be in excess of an hour. Lol
