Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Are you “leaning in”?

Can’t stand hearing this corporate lingo. Any other terms that illicit violent thoughts when spoken?

The only thing BR leans into is Bill Daley’s Depends undergarments.
She paid for every stage she ever appeared on during her token Ketchum times, pretending to be smart and getting g her bu-t kissed by moderators. She is HORRIBLE.

"Authentic self" -- this annoying phrase coming from the company that previously rewarded fakeness in all its forms.

The plural of “process” pronounced “process-eeze”. It only takes one id--t with middle management aspirations and pretty soon they all do this.

The ask is …. I hate the ask. Ask is not a noun.

“Going lean”
“Agile Transformation”

  • and then proceed to do absolutely nothing towards either one. Also, I worked in technology, so “Shoreview” was like a curse word.

BR tells Corp Comms to “lean in” to her broken org design constantly and if she says it one more time I will pu-e. She doesn’t “lean in” at all and puts everything on her team.

"we still have a lot of work to do in that area"

Code for: I know we're awful, but all I can do about it is vaguely admit it needs to be fixed. Won't actually DO the fixing, but you know...

I haaaaate all the acronyms for departments.

The name of our department no longer has anything to do with our function, but the LOB doesn’t want to change it because they don’t want to change the acronym.

Corporate buzz words are just institutionalized BS that the “Top of the House” like to throw out there to make themselves feel relevant and relatable to their direct reports. The resulting disingenuous “Moment of Truth” discussions that are had in their wake are genuinely the most disgusting human interactions I’ve found myself on the receiving end of.

I asked my direct supervisor what she really thought during a one on one meeting recently when she was “Wellsplaining” a new risk management directive. Her response? “I’m not paid to have an opinion, just to deliver the bad news”.

At least she was honest.🤷🏻

"Embrace candor." This is only in one direction, from top down. They do not want to hear candor from the bottom up. It is only a one way street.
