WF "leaders" stuck with cognitive biases

WF "leadership" are succumbing to their own biases regarding RTO.

COVID is toast. Delta variant is meaningless. Stick a fork in it, it’s done. Back to work fellas

BoA announced that all vaccinated workers should go back after Labor Day and they'll figure out the other later. My guess is that we'll follow suit.

The new Delta variant has health care workers worried. But don’t worry about the workers you are putting in harms way by cramming them in open areas, flex cubes, conference rooms, etc. They are just your workforce, not important or anything. You want to get rid of them anyway.

@wrt+1bkamte7 fully agree in that old white men are running this industry and their wives don't want them home!

@1sed Didn't mean to spam it. I posted it, it got 5 views, then it disappeared for a few hours, so I posted this small summary version, and then last night both show up on the page.

Still mad that I got duped by some supposed content filter/moderation/publishing software glitch and double-posted because of it?

Try being less angry about your ivory tower being shown for what it is.

Tell that to the people on cruise ships and in nursing homes. For every article and statistic you cite to “back up” your bs view: I’ll give you an article that proves your wrong.

Yeah, it was all about liability...but now we know that staying home had nothing to do with staying safe. Statistics have shown us that there is no correlation between stay at home and infection rates. States with no lockdowns are dispersed among the stats of states with draconian lock downs, e.g., it didn't make a bit of difference either way and it was all "safety theater" to let people feel like they were "doing something" about an issue that nothing can be done about. The very worst performing states were the ones with the most strict lockdowns, but that's likely due to other factors. Either way, the lockdowns did nothing with respect to COVID and the premise of this specific mitigation strategy has been proven to be a failure. Therefore, there's no longer a threat of liability in this area.

Corporate America’s unwillingness to evolve will eventually cause a talent vacuum. No one wants to show up to a party without cake, right?

This mentally that they have that we’re all lucky to still be employed while so many others lost their jobs and livelihoods due to the pandemic is cruel, ivory tower BS. Zero employer liability shielding was the catalyst.

We all “stayed home and stayed safe” because WF couldn’t afford the monetary liability of in office infection from a production stand point in addition to potential lawsuits. They lost NOTHING with relation to productivity. Forcing us all back without compromise is all about control and forcing attrition to avoid paying severance.

“Charles in Charge” isn’t stupid. He knows he won’t be in the office every day to pop his head around the corner, or to shake hands, or breathe the same air.. but he’ll make it sound like you should be. WF exist for enriching our executives, the Board, the CEO, and to pay dividends to the shareholders. We’re all expenditures to be managed on a spreadsheet even if that means managing us out the door.

How about you "lead the way", OP, by not spamming the site with multiple threads about the same thing with the same link in it?

WF will collapse before it's ever woke. It's stale mindsets like these that will be part of its demise. Old school companies deserve to be left in the dust. Tip: Embrace change before its forced upon you.

Actually, they will work from home after we return in Sept. while telling everyone else to come to office. It's do as I say, not as I do.

The financial industry is dominated by aging white men who’s wives are at home taking care of the house and the kids. These old-school men are only comfortable when they are in total control. Change is threatening to their fragile egos.

The only way WFC will change is when they are forced to change. When they can’t attract talent, retain talent, and they fall further behind and continue losing market share to more modern competitors -they will either get with the times or fail.

Bottom line is to find what’s right for you. WFC is a dinosaur that is in decline, though there will be small peaks along the way. Maybe you can successfully ride the dinosaur for a few more years. Or maybe you should jump off the dinosaur before you become extinct with it.
