Are we waiting for support of Skype to end before we finally transition to Teams or what? I know there's been some group using / testing Teams already, but when is the company-wide roll out going to happen? Will it ever happen?

Does not seem to add greater functionality than Skype/Outlook. Am trying not to dismiss TEAMS without fair trial but not really impressed with anything here.

Teams is being installed but our seat license limits the number. We are only rolling it out to technology teams and teams which have already undergone their layoffs.
I am part of the pilot and do like Teams, but since my business and Engineering partners are regulated have not been able to fully utilize it. The integration schedule is actually exciting and can't wait to see it progress. Video filters are really cool and makes video chat less intrusive feeling.
There's word too that it doesn't integrate well with Jabber, which the firm has already committed to
The compliance issues are due to employees under legal hold or regulatory restrictions in their communications, such as financial advisor communications with clients or tech teams who have access to sensitive data. Teams is cloud driven meaning the data exists outside of WFC digital borders, hence the regulatory issues.
Teams rollout is on hold due to “compliance” issues. There are some people on it but it is in pilot. There may be a decision soon about continuing the rollout. Tech teams are trying to work through the various issues with it. Skype for business will be around a while longer.

Teams sucks. The GUI is terrible since it dominates monitor space. Video streaming through it is horrible. It isn't sync to the Outlook calendar. It is pretty useless as no one I know bothers to use it.
I open it up from time to time, and the only people I ever see post anything are the app team supporting Teams and rah-rah kiss as--s.
Those I know other place who use Teams says it stinks and is buggy so I am in no hurry.
This probably has nothing to do with our leader’s Microsoft stock forcing us to go to it. Nah.

We're still using Internet Explorer 11, which should die off in August per Microsoft, so hopefully this fall.
This isn't a tech support question. It's not like my Teams install isn't working, I just know a lot of tech employees come here and figured I'd ask. If you don't like the subject line, no one is forcing you to click on it!

I've had it for a while and it doesn't seem to be working too well. During meetings, video just times out and dies or the sounds goes. Maybe it will work better from the office rather than over VPN. Maybe they'll roll it out after September.
Teams was installed on my desktop a few weeks ago. Haven't used it yet, but I'm expecting a communication about switching at some point.
