Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Layoffs?

Anyone heard about any layoff dates? Also, any details on what the severance package looks like for 2021?

Standard package is 60 days paid (mostly non-working) notice plus 2 weeks per year of service (8 weeks minimum, 52 weeks max). This is what it’s been for quite a while and this is what is documented.

If you’ve been here 3 years, you’ll get 60 days + 4 weeks. If you’ve been here 10 years, you’ll get 60 days paid notice plus 20 weeks severance.

The information provided is shockingly bad. The rules and details of the severance package should be available to all team members, not just the higher ups. We’re all in this together and we should all have the same access to information.

I've been a contractor since 9/2019 and they ended my assignment yesterday.

They need to get rid of the money-sucking, futile, lazy leeches called the regional service advisors first! At the same time, maybe, saving other jobs that actually produce something.

I heard it was a week per year after 60 days pay— does that sound right?

Marketing is hiring everyone from senior leaders on down. No layoffs here.

No significant changes in what's in packages compared to last year. Them changing isn't the problem, getting one when you want to stay is. 6/24 is the next date I know of.

All I have heard is if you are asked to move to a hub and elect not to do so you will be given severance.

What are the new rules around moving and remote working?

I swear I work here but I schedule my job interviews around the all hands and AMA meetings so nobody notices me missing. So I miss the juicy deets. Anything worth watching the video of?

Haven't heard of dates for layoffs, but they are poising to 'force' people out naturally with the new rules around moving and remote working so that they don't have to pay severance.

And now with all the changes they are making, they are throwing out the 'don't like it you can leave' statements. Culture at Wells is about to drop further than it ever has.

Yes. Monday-Friday, every week.

Severance is in Teamworks like it always has been.
