I did not hear this myself, but was told this by somebody who was in the meeting and has no reason to lie to me. So take this for what it's worth.
During a meeting pertaining to "Agile Transformation" the topic of Outsourcing came up.
We're told that WF is going to outsource it's infrastructure. What exactly that means is not clear, but I assume it means that infrastructure support roles in IT. Outsourced to whom is not known, nor is when this is supposed to happen.
Also (and I don't know if I believe this, but it's what I was told) we're not shrinking down to 4 datacenters after all. We're shrinking down to just 2. Some place in Virginia, and another place in Dallas. From my perspective neither place makes any sense, but I was not in the meeting and don't have any more details. What about places like Minneapolis, Tempe, Des Moines, Charlotte? Like I said, I don't know if I believe that.
Can anybody confirm or refute, or provide any more information?
