Great you guys. You slackers who don't want to work is screwing it up for everyone. Management is pushing HARD to get us back into the office. for every 1 good worker, 2 or 3 of you are screwing around and messing a good thing up for the rest of us.
Do your JOB and get to work even if you are at home. Calling in BS tickets or saying your internet is down all the time screwed it up. Oh and saying you are high risk because of your fat a$$ is no excuse to not come to the office either. Ridiculous.
I've done reporting and seen the "issues" reported for certain segments of entry level positions. "System Issues" is it's own sort of WF VPN pandemic, but most of them come from the same set of people within repetitive time frames. When my internet goes down I give it no more than 30 minutes before trying to hot spot, or as a last result, drive to my parents for internet. I did have an id--t contractor cut my cable wire one day which sucked. The fact is, the people abusing it, mess it up for the people who have legitimate problems.
So many folks on this site accuse colleagues of slacking off while working from home, whereas THEY are supposedly nose-to-the-grindstone all day, every day. Something doesn't pass the laugh test. Given their suspicion that everyone else is a slacker, seems like the OP doth protest too much.
I can't speak for phone bankers, have never been one. But overall, I suspect most of us prefer to work from home most days for more than just the easier commute and proximity to our kitchens at lunch. It also gives us freedom to get our work done in the way that's most productive for us... without worrying about everyone on the floor judging us.
Oh wait, never mind. Guess some people will judge no matter what.
