Years ago, United Way used to court the C-suite big-wigs

Oh I remember those days. I also remember the look on one admins face when I responded to her question "How much will you donate each week to the United Way"? To which I replied "None!" I did not like the assumption of giving to an organization that filters barely 10% to where it is needed. I have my pet charities and I did't need my companies to "help" me donate. Looking back I should have said "fifty cents".

Years ago, United Way used to court the C-suite big-wigs who would then pressure their employees to give a percentage of their salary over to the United Way. It was the mantra that their company would have a 100% employee contribution so that they could be wined and dined and treated to special perks.

Oracle is a waste of your time.

Three great guys left only my team in three months. No raise for many years. We'll be back in time for retirement.

It's great marketing at the expense of employees. Many companies do that and not just Oracle.
