I work in FCM and we have not received any additional information. Just “wait and see.” We were mostly full time remote pre covid but even groups that weren’t haven’t heard anything more.

there are manager sessions all through August. I doubt those will answer all questions either.
There will be guidance that comes from OC level to their orgs and that will include what things will be mandatory and what things will be left to various levels of managerial discretion. For example, one OC leader has already said (in writing) that in addition to min 3 days a week in-office, that their DRs have discretion to mandate two of those days to be specific days of the work week. But that direction has not come yet from their DRs and probably won't until we get closer to the RTO date, which for this OC group is mid-october.

I hate to break it to you, but Technology used to WFH about 99% full time. There were some developers I didn’t see more than 2 or 3 times in three years or so.
If you are in Technology, then RTO means more flexibility compared to pre covid times. If you went to the office fulltime, you will now be able to go to the office 2 days a week or 3 days tops, unless you specific task requires a different scheme.
This is a good thing. Obviously the double dippers will not like it.
Those that worked remotely on a fulltime basis must now return to the office 2-3 days a week. Now, if your office is 4 hours away, you would be free to walk away from WF, without severance of course.

I work in Financial Crimes risk and I was told that the essential goal was to have pre-COVID RTO numbers. Our group has been told if you worked remote before the pandemic, you’d continue to WFH.
