Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Lazy a$s entitled people are the problem

There are so many legacy “run it like you own it” into the ground, tenured people who are so self righteous and entitled it’s not funny. Did you really think 50% meeting expectations and 50% exceeding before June 2020 made sense? You are all the problem. You are what needs to change. You are the bloated weight of this company. Reckoning is coming. This was such a screwed up place before you were all held accountable. You all deserve to be exited and you all know who you are.

Our India guys, we dump a lot of busy work on to that we haven't had cycles to automate yet. They do ok following a step by step script and it is the same monotonous tasks they do over and over.

We have given them repeated training events to handle more complex tasks, but then when it came to giving them real work it kept bo----g. They seem happy sticking to a script, so that is how we use them.

There is talk of a push to automate repetitive task ramping up later this year or next year. If that happens, they'll be out of work to do. The idea then will probably be to send the work we do stateside and lay off most of us. If that happens, the implosion will be glorious.

Look no further than the flotsam trying to ‘run’ the commercial business like they own it with a leader who is checked out. Greater than half the old white dinosaurs are dead men walking, good riddance

I think in some fairness it is more understandable to realize that this is not their language or culture...

That being said, a day doesn't go by that I don't shake my head and say you mothf****rs are d-mb as a bag of rocks. I spend at least an hour a day trying to get a simple concept across. When they respond, it is as though they didn't hear you. Not all are this way, many are hugely talented, but many are also not, and they get a pass under the umbrella of diversity.......it's really a damn shame.

Old rating system was trash since it was easier to do that then hold manager accountable for actually managing. Also many employees have an inflated sense of their skill set and bitched, sued so it was all d-mbed down. FYI all the new JPM people in my area are frauds. They don't know how anything should work. This place will keep limping along making money despite itself.

Higher ratings being used in excess by SOME in the past is no excuse for intentionally giving top performers 'meets' now because of the requireme....errrr...recommendation that only X% can be above meets. That is total horse S. They say the bell curve isn't required, and it's a damn lie. You'll be asked to "reconsider" the ratings until they get close enough to what they want. In any event it has NOTHING to do with performance and everything to do with suppressing justification for raises and encouraging attrition. The Performance Management team should all be in the Needs Improvement category.

Op -and how many billion do we make a quarter? Someone must be doing something right. I think you miss the point. Worker bees get 1.5 to 2 percent raise which doesn’t even cover cost of living increases. Execs get million dollar bonuses. But hey. Only 20 percent of the worker bees were exceeds. Makes perfect sense

Strange you should say that, we have 12 new fte from India on our team and they've been here for close to a year and produced zero but every day I get lots of email questions which take up hours to respond to. When you review their work its like that Seinfeld episode where Kramer plays a marketing executive and hands its something so ridiculous your not even sure what to make of it. Now I would take strongly disagree if you say Indians guys here in the states, there's very capable Indians stateside that i've worked with.
