Delta Variant vs RTO -- Best Laid Plans

Markets are spooked. Rapidly mutating virus does not care about best laid plans and the "business logic" of RTO plans. A little early to hoist the "Mission Accomplished" banner.

You can still catch the virus, even if vaccinated. You may not necessarily get it from an unvaccinated co-worker, you can catch it from another vaccinated person, who was exposed by an unvaccinated neighbor, friend, spouse, etc. So just isolating unvaccinated to a separate floor does not mean you are safe. You might get it at Starbucks, or a restaurant etc. You just don’t know where it came from.

Now we are hearing that the vaccines become less effective over time. Those who got it first, back when it came out, are catching the virus. So looks like we will need boosters, maybe every 6 months. You can catch it from a fully vaccinated person who didn’t get their booster shot.

In the end, we will have to live with this, like the common cold.

Wells Fargo is risking my health. I am over 60. I have avoided social contact since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. I should not be forced to work with people who are not vaccinated. How is Wells Fargo going to protect the people who are vaccinated. People who are vaccinated can still get sick! Make vaccines mandatory to keep employment. I don’t want to breath someone’s second hand smoke and I should not be forced to be in the same room with anyone who is choosing for any reason not to get the vaccination. Special accommodations could be made for doctor verified medical reasons that would allow employees to retain employment and still provide a safe environment for others.

Ahh, this is the perfect example of a pretty objective/ neutral post that generate polarizing posts --- including the fervent random nonsense by the "Ahh, it's just the flu" Trumpians and Science Deniers.

You’ll be fine, get back to the office. Those of us that have had teams in office the whole time have managed around it, even sharing desks. You will be ok.

Wouldn’t be surprised if RTO got pushed back. Apple just did. Wells is a follower, not a leader, so they’ll be among the last.

No more excuses. Everyone back to the office in September. It will be an adjustment, but you'll get back into the swing of things.

They're much more concerned about protecting the billions of $ they will make from the "free" treatment.
