Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

CEO Town Hall 7/22

Who else submitted questions for Charles in Charge’s town hall on the 22nd? I submitted a total of 5 with topics ranging from layoffs (obviously), disparities related to employee and executive compensation, reduction of Wells Fargo’s carbon footprint (WFH is a big part of that), domestic te------t site preparedness if we do RTO in masse, and clarification on BOLI (Bank owned liability insurance).

Do you think he’ll have the stones to read the real ones, or will it just be an hour of the same pandering fluff that we’ve become numb to?

I doubt it if boycotting will make it a low turn out. There always will be enough people call in.

I go and record my attendance (for my managers for review purposes) only because I use it to support the idea that I am staying engaged.

I do not understand why any of you would go to the call. IMO we should not attend as the low turnout would speak to our lack of trust. But, many of you go because you want confirmation of your fears, or better yet hope he says something to make you feel better. Just don’t go to the calls. Low ratings are not good for them. They want heavy turnout. Do not give them that honor.

I asked how long before he was cashing out and leaving. Bet he doesn’t answer that one. If he does, I’ll know when to get out before the sh!tstorm hits because he’ll want to leave before it does to sc--w up the next place. That’s how these folks work.

Carbon footprint? Maybe he'll just have them set the AC at 80 degrees in your new office and call himself a hero.

If he doesn’t answer Amann submitted questions about how Jamie Dimon’s id--t son in law, Conor Tolkin, gets his millions - the call will be as fake as Charlie’s hair color.

I hope he gets and answers a question on how he hired Jamie Dimon’s son in law and had elevated him to a job he has no business holding.
I also hope Porter, Pocahontas, Waters, AO(sucks)C, war hero Blumenthal and others who grilled us at hearings actually speak out on this and on the massive layoffs while execs cash undeserved paychecks.

Will he be in his Florida home like he spent most of the pandemic - unmasked and enjoying open business - while pretending to be at the Hudson Yards ho---r location?

We can't offer voluntary layoffs as managers may not be able to get new job reqs to back fill those positions, especially those that are needed for prod/customer support.
And of course you're right, too many of us would bail! hahahahahaha

It’ll be a full hour of singing the praises of collaborating in person while pretending that we’re all returning to a single location with employees, bosses and business partners all just a few steps away! Woo-frickety-hoo!

Guarantee it’s staged from the office, instead of his house.

Voluntary retirements would go a long way for morale/team work.

Guess they want the opposite chaos and bad morale.

@fbc, if there’s a better example of blatant nepotism than this one, I can’t imagine it.

Chucky doesn’t have an ounce of courage to do the right thing and offer voluntary layoffs (I’m sure he’d get more volunteers than he needs at this point) , there’s no way in He-l that he’s going to answer real questions.

Good try. Looks like you put effort into that, but Wells Fargo is about meeting expectations. Those questions might make someone make purposeful decisions to move the company forward and evolve the entire enterprise. Innovation isn’t something that Wells Fargo does. Charlie isn’t answering any of that.

He would probably rather answer all 5 of those than have to address the question of the recent appointment of CJ tolkin to a Head of Finance - Consumer and Small Business Banking.
