Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

You have been warned…

The RTO message is crystal clear based on the email and the details in the link at the bottom:

  1. You have to come back in
  1. If you are not vaccinated or not willing to disclose vaccination status then you will be subject to following the rules for unvaccinated people. Strict mask use most likely

If you don’t follow 1 and 2 above they are going to take punitive action against you. Wells Fargo will not be the place for you.

Harsh but that is the approach they are taking to protect everyone and themselves best they can.

You have been warned

Not an exec of any kind, but I will be WFH. Imagine that.

@xrg+1bUz13dr unless your high up exec, WFH full time is dead. Just like its WF technology and excel spreadsheet processes, WF is antiquated

@taa+1bUz13dr - it’s written into his cushy contract that he can work remote from his penthouse in NYC. He’s made most of the existing execs move there to be close to him (likely paid by the company although they’ll force all of us to move and pay our own way), hired his cronies from JPM (including some random son-in-law of Jamie Dimon’s), and designated NYC as a “hub” for most of the groups. All in a cost-reduction environment when NYC has to be one of THE MOST EXPENSIVE places in the US to work and commute to every day. He’s a corrupt crook who is playing all of us for fools, including the Board of Directors. Wake the f—k up!

In another couple weeks, it won’t matter since they’ll have to reverse all of the emails that require us back in the office. The Delta variant is coming and can infect vaccinated and unvaccinated people. If Chuckie thinks he’s going to get parents to go into the office and bring a more deadly strain of COVID back home to their unvaccinated young kids, he’s even more cruel and delusional than we already know him to be! He can kiss my a-s if he thinks I’m going into the office against the advice of educated health experts! F—k him and all his enablers, SP included!

If I don't have peers in the location I must RTO, then WF wants me to make connections with people locally... except social distancing... Why do connections have to be made in person. Trying to insinuate people cannot collaborate remotely is just misguided considering all the people who do it at other F500 companies that allow FT WFH. It's silly but it is what it is.

Yes, I just sent out my resume to multiple employers. Crossing fingers I land on a new job soon, before WF forces me to relocate to the nearest hub.

Why isn't WF thinking about the difficulty of relocating? Even if I have the money to relocate on my own, the fact that housing today is stupdly priced, only stupd people are buying. I won't be stup*d for WF, that's for sure.

They are doing what they have to do to protect themselves from their employees. Nobody can say they got infected at work and blame Wells Fargo. That’s the point.

Please don’t make these people choose between defending anything this company does and their beloved conspiracy theories!

If you are anti-vax and anti-mask then it’s game over in terms of your career at wells.

They removed any work from home option full time option. It’s play by the rules or else. Their rules.
