Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Vaccination Status

So I presume if you do not disclose your vaccine status, you will get one of two options:

  1. Be placed in the floor among nonvaccinated workers, or
  2. Be included in the next layoff notice.

I also see they are sending a survey to confirm personal contact details in Teamworks. I am highly skeptical of motives behind this.

I would be fine with laying off those who choose not to get vaccinated (only excluding true health reasons for not getting them). Then we could all move and not worry about pending cuts, those folks would be gone.

There are several executives who know we definitely have the tools, reporting, and ability to have our employees work remotely permanently, but there is a large amount of the board and some of the one and two downs who are extremely fearful of technology and want to return to “the old days” where branches were full and the most used tool in the office was the desk phone.

i also think this is one of those phishing tests too; i will choose that button in my outlook to have it reported

@1yok+1bUpAYeZa the FAQs on the email from the COO on Friday addresses HIPAA. It does not violate it. If you are against answering it, don't. Or put "prefer to to disclose". Those are your only real options.

is this against hipaa regulations? I seriously doubt any employer would ask for health information as it is illegal.

I fall in the "can continue to WFH 100% of the time until further notice". This is why I'm not proving my vax status. I'm grateful I can continue to WFH until prob next year (Corp Risk layoffs won't be massive until 2022). See no reason why they need my vax status at this juncture since I've been advised by my management I can continue to WFH. Will be using the time to post externally and get ahead of the layoffs. I'd get a great severance (24 years of service), but my sanity and ability to take care of my family is more important than waiting for a severance. I also think answering the survey is a personal thing. For those not comfortable with it, don't answer or answer with "prefer not to disclose". I have a feeling the Delta variant will halt RTO anyway.

I love how posters thinks WF cares enough to put vaccinated on one floor and unvaccinated on the other. Kinds of sounds like Hi---r and his train sets. That doesn't very collaborative taking sip of coffee to me

In another couple weeks, it won’t matter since they’ll have to reverse all of the emails that require us back in the office. The Delta variant is coming and can infect vaccinated and unvaccinated people. If Chuckie thinks he’s going to get parents to go into the office and bring a more deadly strain of COVID back home to their unvaccinated young kids, he’s even more cruel and delusional than we already know him to be! He can kiss my a-s if he thinks I’m going into the office against the advice of educated health experts! F—k him and all his enablers, SP included!

I don't think having a vaccinated against Covid versus unvaccinated floor in the buildings
will help much in stopping the spread of covid in the buildings. The air system circulates the air from all of the building floors all around the building, does it not? Also the vaccinated can be Covid positive without any symptoms, or with symptoms, so they can spread it to both vaccinated and unvaccinated co-workers. Very scary. Afraid for the children who cannot yet, or will not yet, get vaccinated.

What if we get vaccinated after answering this as being not vaccinated?

Seriously everyone, they already know that you’re vaccinated if you used any of the eight hours allotted to get your jab. I know none of you defrauded the company and falsified your time cards.. did you?

We were told not enough employees completed it the first time, for them to make decisions about each site (masks/no masks, etc).

These are all CYA moves for their liability insurance. Insurance companies would want to know that the company put forth best efforts to gauge their risk profile before paying out big claims for an outbreak.

Being vaccinated, I’m just not worrying about getting it anymore. If I had listened to the people who say even after vaccination you’re still at risk, I never would have gotten jabbed in the first place. What’s the point? Well, I’m vaccinated now. Can’t undo it, so I’m just choosing to live my life and not worry about it. Ignorance is bliss.

@jzv+1bUpAYeZ Good thought. Of course it could also mean you get stuck on the unvaccinated floor. Which might be okay, until one person gets it and suddenly you’re surrounded by disease vectors.

Can’t they just pull the status code from Time Tracker for those that used it to get free pto? Super nice getting four hours off for each 30 minute shot

I’m vaccinated, but I’m tempted to take the prefer not to disclose option in hopes that it will bump me up higher on the layoff scale.

If anyone is really curious what happens next...maybe try calling employee relations or logging a ticket for HR to contact you?

I mean, this is what I do when I have questions.

Honestly the obly punishments noted are a perf review hit that I saw. Considering we are all meets or under and facing a 5% layoff possibility: who cares if they get mad I dont take it.

Only the fear mongers are talking about firings to scare you into compliance

didn't they already send out this survey weeks ago? plus, as many will find out as various cases work though the courts, employers will be allowed to ask and allowed to require. They have an obligation to provide a safe work environment for everyone including those who wish not to be vaccinated for whatever reason
