It is hard to see the reality of the big picture when you are in the middle of chaos. I equate this to being in a hurricane simply because the area of effect seems disastrous until you leave it. Suddenly the sun comes back out and although you can still see the storm looking back, it no longer affects you.
With all encouragement I say this: the economy is great and thousands of corporations are hiring right now. They have better cultures than what we are used to and you can have that if you work to seize it.
If you decide to stay, just keep your head down, and do what you can with what you have and dont worry about the macro level stuff. You cannot have an effect on it so wasting time on it will use energy you need for tough times.
The bible says "Anxious fear brings depression, but a life giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to a heart."
